3 of the 4 lists have been correctly guessed somewhere above. The "silver medal" one still remains unknown.

Two festival lists would have been exceptional. Guess you guys went for a sports list then? Far, very far, less exciting for me in that case

Don't misgender me.
Kong's a queen.
It certainly doesn't help me that the Danish word for king is konge - and when used as a pronoun or name it's kong. So technically the Danish name for King Kong should be Kong Kong.

Silver = Argentina?
I didn't understand this one until I read your post.

While a sports list doesn't interest me too much, i don't think there's a sports list yet so, i guess that's allright (aside of IMDb sports top 50). Silver Bear would surprise me if it's not Silver Lion. I think i'm most excited about the Sitges list. And Dovzhenko as i've said is allright too (will be one i have a high rank for by definition of having seen a film from it, tho Man with a Movie Camera will be a check many have).

Sitges would be a nice addition, and Dovzhenko as well. Saw 13/109 on the latter, so Silver would be pretty far away for me as well. Hope the new lists don’t mess up my Club 500 plans too much, I’m almost there, 18 movies away, it seems.

I would be excited for a list like Sitges. And that's not just because I booked tickets to see Sisu about 5 minutes ago.
I still think this would be a neat list for adding some new flavors to the ICM canon.
I agree. I love it.
None of the mods do tho.
Maybe they will slowly come around to your way of thinking...

Haha. Any potential adoption rumination is already as slow as one of those films. It has been brought up and discussed many times in the past decade(?)

Ignoring any personal opinion on the genre of the list... I'm against any list that is just "here's a fuckload of films that meet a criteria". A list should be a Best Of or significant in some way. It's why I have issue with the Tom Vick Asian list. Or the Action book list.
As opposed to my issue with the 1000 Noirs list, which is a Best Of list... but is too large for the genre it represents.

I looked into this and based on what I could find in mod discussion and in previous forum discussions dating back to 2015, the main issue is the source, not the content. It's a bibliography for one person's thesis paper, essentially listing all the films they mentioned or looked into, and isn't a qualitative assessment of those films.
I think a better list for arthouse/slow cinema would be seriously considered by the mods, but I wouldn't get your hopes up for this particular list getting adopted.
Edit: Tassel just made the same point.

From what I see, it's only been brought up twice, during the user polls in 2015 and 2021? (maybe there was a third one in between, I can't remember)

So if everything is all set on the lists and sent to Martijn... can we get confirmation on what they'll be?
Not, uh, for me... no... but plenty of other people are super impatient, yeah.
