On a note about the English title for this film: IMDB has it listed under Hungry for Love for the UK release and Adua and Her Friends for the US release. I watched this film four years ago, at a time in which IMDB didn't have Hungry for Love as its AKA name iirc. I found the film under the name Adua and Her Friends, which is a closer translation of the original title than Hungry for Love. The film is currently up on The Criterion Channel under the name Adua and Her Friends (it expires from that website at the end of the month for anyone who has a subscription and wants to watch). So anyways, I'm recognizing Adua and Her Friends as the AKA title and not Hungry for Love.

I love this film. I watched it several years ago, so I'm not going to write a lot of analysis about it. I remember the interior of the set/house fondly and I love films with strong female characters. It has some common themes for Italian films: prostitution, the law, trying to build a better life, etc. I watched this film at a time in which it was an unofficial check. I later nominated it for Doubling the Canon and it got in (l) Then an Italian list it was on became official, so the film is on two official lists for the moment. I wasn't expecting it to be so close to entering the 500<400 list last year.
