That's four in a row selected by yourself. Have you ran out of recommendations?

Yes.
I'm not surprised this happened. Watching the shorts and talking about it is one thing. Finding interesting shorts and share it is another. A lot of people have time to watch one short a day (I haven't actually), but recommending takes some more dedication.

I've got two Krsto Papić to recommend, maybe it would be nice if they go one after another.

Yeah I've got loads that I've seen, just not that many I feel the desire to recommend. I also prefer to watch ones others choose as obviously I've already seen the ones I've seen.

Especially because lots of those shorts are from the silent phase, which is predominantly consisted of processions, people walking on bridges, ships docking, circus tricks and stuff. Not something you emotionally stick to.

Works for me.
By clicking on it, I realized I already saw this. Can't really remember it though. I rated it 5/10.

Do any of these work?

They all use this bcove.me provider, so it may not. I can upload it to YT if necessary.

Oh, the movie-link? Doesn't work for me either. I clicked the iCM- and IMDb-link.

It's on YouTube now (check OP). The quality isn't very good (not that the original link really is either) but it should do the trick.

Yeah that works cheers.

Interesting mix of techniques on the film. I see someone in the ICM comments linked a Gilliam interview where notes this as a direct influence. That's what I was thinking while watching it, almost exactly the same use of cutouts.

The comical enclove of the human body and experience - eye, lips, dancing, celebrities, commercial products, pornography, as well as weapons, violence. The juxtaposition of dancing and playing with warfare seems like a critique of idleness, an attempt to raise awareness. But there might be even more gloomy undertones to this, however the imagery is too abstract and random to properly distill some form of message (not to say there has to be one, I presume it's merely a natural thing to do). Negative images feature prominently and gradually objects, organs along with culturally significant people (mostly comics themselves) are wantonned to even greater degrees. The film calls itself a “tragedy”. Does humanity consummate itself in the avant-garde, in the subversive? Or is it on the path to destruction, as the nuclear bomb anticipates? Equating “breath” with the “soul” implies that, but without "death", would there be any creativity? The short film itself wouldn’t exist. The last image is a theatre filled with an audience, a nice touch to encourage self-reflexivity in the viewer, once again.
