This sounds like a neat challenge; I'd be tempted if I weren't juggling so many challenges already.

Does a movie on 25 lists kill 25 birds with one stone? Or do you mean 181 different movies? If the former, it could be an added challenge to fill the requirement by watching as few movies as possible.

This sounds like a neat challenge; I'd be tempted if I weren't juggling so many challenges already.

Does a movie on 25 lists kill 25 birds with one stone? Or do you mean 181 different movies? If the former, it could be an added challenge to fill the requirement by watching as few movies as possible.

I thought about that but I decided against it as I want to watch a mix of all types of movies. It's ongoing so no rush to finish it.

I don't mind if people want to do it that way. They can just specify that they are doing that way in their opening post.

Another way to do this is that you have to watch a film that is on the least number of lists. So only watch the films that are on 1 list first if its possible but I don't want to do that as it's a bit restricting.

edit: just realized that it is possible to get platinum on lists by watching a film you have listed on another list so I'm thinking if you only have 1 film to watch on that list then you have to select that list for that film. If there is no way of avoiding completing two lists with one film then so be it.

IMDB - Mystery - Werckmeister harmoniak (2000) - 8/10

Didn't think I would like this as the only other film I had seen by Bela Tarr was Satantango which I gave a 4/10 but I was pleasantly surprised by how much I really enjoyed this film! The music is so haunting in places, I loved it. I chose the Mystery list as this gives me platinum!

Mochard, I guess we need a ruling upfront on the question: What if one loses a plat in the course of the challenge? Some are so volatile....

I would just go with any you have completed at the start can stay completed. It's personal preference though. I just see this as an individual challenge to try and complete how you want.

If you want to watch a film in completed lists (rewatch) then go for it. If a list that was previously completed suddenly gets a shuffle and a new unseen film enters, feel free to watch it. It's up to you. I'm personally just going to watch a film from every incomplete list at the start. There are plenty of films to watch!

This was a hard one to rate and watch. Bollywood type films I find can be so hard to watch and rate! Perhaps I should have waited for a new entry in the Drama list but who know how long that would take, at least it gives me platinum.

Mochard, I guess we need a ruling upfront on the question: What if one loses a plat in the course of the challenge? Some are so volatile....

I would just go with any you have completed at the start can stay completed. It's personal preference though. I just see this as an individual challenge to try and complete how you want.

If you want to watch a film in completed lists (rewatch) then go for it. If a list that was previously completed suddenly gets a shuffle and a new unseen film enters, feel free to watch it. It's up to you. I'm personally just going to watch a film from every incomplete list at the start. There are plenty of films to watch!

Thanks for the common-sense response. Otherwise we'd all be perpetually struggling to keep up with the vicissitudes of IMDb!

Action! The Action Movie A-Z - Terminal Velocity (1994) Bland skydiving-themed action movie. Some big dumb action scenes and plot twists make it watchable even as plot holes open up like gaping chasms. Wesley Snipes had a similar skydiving action movie released a few months apart from this but it was even worse. Neither is anywhere close to their Point Break inspiration. 4/10

Institutes - Anthology Film Archives' Essential Cinema - Fire of Waters (1965) - 3.5/10

This was a Stan Brakhage short and I find Brakhage to be like Marmite, in that you either love him or you hate him. I tend to hate him and I find most of his stuff hard to watch. I'm just thankful I haven't got that many of his shorts left to watch!
