I would call Kevin Spacey in The Usual Suspects a main actor and Morgan a Freeman in Seven a supporting one.
Officially Spacey won Best Supporting actor.

I just watched Se7evn a few nights ago, and I would definitely say that Freeman is a co-lead in that film with Pitt.
I Saw The Usual Suspects a decade ago, so I don't fully recall how prominent Spacey was, but I remember that the film seemed to focus mostly on Gabriel Byrne's character throughout the whole thing until the final reveal.

Nice surprise that "Clueless" is doing well.
Three ingredients of all good stories are humor, suspense and psychology.

indeed so, although Alicia just missed out on countback (tied but had Delpy more points in nominations). Actually I see someone just broke the tie in Delpy's favour anyway.Caracortada on Oct 1 2016, 06:18:13 AM wrote:Nice surprise that "Clueless" is doing well.
Results up in usual place.
Best Supporting Actor
You mean I have to choose between Kevin Spacey and Kevin Spacey?

I has happened in the awards too.allisoncm on Oct 1 2016, 10:59:11 AM wrote:Best Supporting Actor

Greta Garbo was for example nominated for Anna Christie and Romance the same year.
http://www.imdb.com/event/ev0000003/1930-2 - best actress in a leading role (actually if look att he different awards that year there is a lot of double nominations both for director and actors as well)

Better in 1928, the first year, when Janet Gaynor won for Sunrise, Street Angel, and Seventh Heaven. They didn't have to choose between Janet Gaynor, Janet Gaynor, and Janet Gaynor. But the rules were changed the year after. It can be good for an actress that has an Oscar worthy performance if they also filmed a really horrible film the same year. But for someone who did great work that year, it can harm them. It looks like the popular choice is Usual Suspects, though.albajos on Oct 1 2016, 01:38:46 PM wrote:I has happened in the awards too.allisoncm on Oct 1 2016, 10:59:11 AM wrote:Best Supporting Actor
