iCM Forums' Favourite Films on Zero Official Lists

Image

It's time to showcase your favourite underappreciated gems!

The rules
· Films, mini-series, tv anthology series with unrelated episodes are all allowed
· If the film recently became official (through updates or new adoptions), I'll remove it from the main list, but add it in a separate list of recently officialized gems
· List can be on imdb or icm
· Fully ranked or unranked lists only (will be considered ranked unless specified)
· Half-life will be 50, unless the lists are consistently longer then I'll consider raising it
· I'm aiming to have a top 250, but it will depend on how many submissions there are; top 100 for sure
· Films that switch between official and unofficial each week because of imdb list updates are eligible
· Films from 2014 & 2015 are not eligible, just like how we do it for the 500<400 list.

Deadline for submissions
Sunday, July 26th, midnight PST - it's only two weeks away, but I don't want this to go on too long so the rest of the polls don't start late either. It'll then give me a week to make sure everything is working by the end of the month.

Why participate?
· It's an official poll, and everyone loves official things here :P
· It's a chance to showcase films that you think should become official
· It's going to be so unpredictable, so the entertainment value should be high :D

All of your checks sorted by # Official Toplists and then sorted alphabetically - you'll have to go to the first page of 0 official checks to see your list.

I'm probably pushing it for 250, but I really like all these movies and the ones at the bottom I want to have recognition so whatever; 250 it is.

Maybe exclude 2014 as well? Just like we do on 500<400.

Is there an easiest way to make this list rather than going through all the pages on ICM one by one? Because if that's the only way then it really seems like an impossible task... :(

I have a ranked list on iCM of everything I've rated 7+, so I just exported that, filtered the 0 lists and copied the URLs.

Wasn't there an IMDb list with all official checks?

I exported my IMDB-ratings.
Removed everything 7/10 and lower.
Removed TV episodes etc...
Created an ICM-list of the rest.
Exported that list.
Selected all titles on 0 official lists.
Created an IMDB-list of those.

Of course, it's a problem with a free account, but if you want I can help you.

My main problem is exactly that. I have a free acount so I can't do all these things. Joachim I may take advantage of your offer then. I'll create the imdb list and send it to you in order to put it on icm.
Cheers! :D

Surprised you didn't give your favorite paedophile film the number one spot.

I'm hoping for a "Eligible titles that you've rated on IMDb (sorted by your rating)" list, having no ICM account and all. Surely, if it is possible to do with titles with less than 400 checks it must also be possible with titles that are on 0 Official Lists, right?

This is a list of films you've checked on iCM, sorted by # of Official Checks... but ascending. So 0 checks show up first and not last: https://www.icheckmovies.com/movies/che ... plists&asc

You could export your imdb ratings, covert the cvs file to excel and then keep all the 8+ titles of feature films.
You're a premium member so then you could do the rest of the job in icm.
I could help you with your imdb ratings and the lists you need to create, but I see they're private.
If you want help say it.
Using imdb and your ratings will immediately clear out all the lower rankings and save your self the tedious task of browsing your icm checks one by one.

I'd be happy to help. Just did the same for kingink and Melvelet. If you export your IMDB-rating and tell me which ratings you want to include (8+? 7+?), then I'll send you a file of all eligible titles.

3eyes, if you don't know how to export, you can just post a link to your ratings.

Maybe if I'm REALLY bored I'll add my 7/10s as well but that'll take lots of time since I don't use imdb.

My top 250. A lot of films with female leads, old comedies and one Hitchcock in the top ten. All misrecognized classics.

Top 250 Unofficial on ICM

Thanks, Kingink and Joachimt. I don't rate films on IMDb or anywhere else, nor do I use Excel. But I have made a list, and don't think I'll try to rank it (much as there are films on it I'd like to highlight). Would one of you be willing to convert the list however that is done? Should I PM it to you or what?

Thanks.

:D What I meant in the opening post was that this list would be a good way to promote unofficial checks to eventually become official, either through the DTC or 500>400 list, or if adopting new lists that contain a number of the films that end up here.
