The cinematography and color grading in that film is quite amazing...

It's not just Béatrice Body ..

Being a geography freak, I tried to find this location on Google Streetview. Could this be it (just southwest from Basly where the D83 and D141 meet)?

I love those French black-on-white road signs. :)

There aren't many unique features (if any at all) in the picture but judging from the distances to the nearby villages I guess that must be the place. It's interesting to see that it hasn't changed much in over 40 years. I even fancy the idea of some people inside the black car trying to emulate Moreau, Depardieu and Dewaere. I'm also a (modest) enthusiast of maps, if more people is interested in your spot finding idea maybe we could devise some sort of game.

I'm going to say Die Blechtrommel, watched it years ago but there's something around the fire and in those blonde pigtails that remind me of it.

Of course, the face of the child in bed also helped to confirm the hunch. Next blonde, I mean, next film:

All right, you win again at the first post. Next time I'll start with the feet. She's Christa Linder, by the way.

Is that the expensive 4th figurine in the press conference? Then this could be Gojira tai Hedorâ. Added to my watchlist.

I follow the thread, I'm definitely NOT one of the 1000+ checks and I don't have the faintest idea what it could be, I even have trouble narrowing it down to any genre or decade or country

Edit : OK there are names on the last screenshot so I could find it, but Tim since you seem to know the answer, just go ahead

Looks horror/sci-fi from the 80s to me. Not my era though. I've seen a bunch, but remember very few :D

Same time period as Innerspace witch is my favorite Denis Quaid Movie.
We use punch line from innerspace one a month for decades ;)

But this one is Dreamscape 1984

https://www.imdb.com/title/tt0087175

Edit : didn't even noticed
