I know what you mean - IMDb fundamentally changed the character of their bottom list when they upped the needed minimum ratings from something like 1500 (no more than 2500, that I'm sure about) to 10,000 votes - effectively killing off all of the vintage trashy B-movies. Very sad.
The previous 100 were stuffed with crazy titles which often gained their notoriety through being featured in MST3K; thus the old Bottom 100 was without doubt skewed too, but in a more pleasing way.

Oh, look at that! mighty still has a version of the unaltered Bottom 100 from 2017 - 50% entries older than 2000, a great part older than 1985, with all the cult ridiculousness. [edit]The current version has 5 titles earlier than 1985 :ermm:
Please never update it!

[edit]Oh, so The Emoji Movie is an official check. Swell.

I have bronze on the old one, but 12 down on the new one (with a few movies that I am interested to watch cuz they're on my watched lists). Jaws 3 is available with a riff too, must give it a watch.

Strangely I've actually seen fewer films from the 2017 list, though there are more on it that look at least vaguely watchable to me. I'm also more specific-genre focused when it comes to bad movies - I will watch almost any bad (or good) sci-fi, fantasy or action film but bad comedies? Just not worth the pain. And I think nostalgia plays just as much a role with bad movies as it does anything else; Mac and Me is an eternal favorite for example but apart from Neil Breen's amazing filmography there is little from this century that I have really enjoyed in the same way. And most of the ones I have are, like the Breen films, too little voted to ever make it to the IMDb list. Uwe Boll is kind of a sweet sport for me though, I've kind of loved the three films of his I've seen, so maybe I should check out the ones I haven't that are on the list, or more stuff like them.

Tim2460 - silver already
(all very safe)
Torgo
(more recent "acquisition")

no:
albajos (200 to go)
maxwelldeux (800 to go)
Minkin (1200 to go)
Coryn (1500 to go)

Cool.
I'm exactly at Gold and would never randomly go beyond 95 for this.
Goodbye Mr. Christie (2011) looks particularly obscure, 7 checks on ICM, 22 Votes on IMDb. Wow.

It's my only dislike there 2/10
My previous check on this list was in 2016 (Galactic Railroad).
King Kong 1933 was 5th-latest.

plan for approaching 50K ratings on IMDb (aka road to 50K):
PragerU riffs (some of them are on IMDb as episodes)
Rage Against The Machine videos
some anime
Suna No Onna (fixture of existentialist lists and also many many lists)
La Grande Illusion (many many many lists)

noticed I've dipped under 1000 to go on Ultimate Canon and TrueFilm Canon. interesting.
it doesnt feel though like I'm anywhere closer to running out of movies

I've got 11 to go to bronze on all time TSPDT and 9 on Antti Alanen's 1,100. Will likely miss it when it happens.

One megalist where I'm far far off bronze is Martin Scorsese's Favorite Films.

I remember Damnation Alley really sucking, and The Postman being just really dull. I'm one away from silver on that list but the ones I haven't seen don't look particularly interesting apart from Threads. Eh, I just can't get enthused about big-budget recent SF anymore and what I have left is mostly that. Suppose I'll see Terminator Salvation someday as I've seen the rest of the series, and I do have a little soft spot for Roland Emmerich even though I know Day After Tomorrow will be EXACTLY like half of his other films. I don't think there's ever been a director of action films who has copied himself so relentlessly on such budgets.
It was the truth, vivid and monstrous, that all the while he had waited the wait was itself his portion..

I'm at 41/50 on the list with Damnation Alley being one of the 9 films I have left. I liked The Postman, though I enjoyed the book more. I had read the book before the movie came out and read the book again a decade or so later. I also liked Terminator Salvation when I watched it a few years ago.
