Letterboxd's "Official" Yearly lists for 2021 and 2022 are probably your best bet, then. 2023 won't be up for another month or so, likely.
Cool. Thanks! Not being on their website, I didn't know they had yearlies. Don't see them on iCM (yet) though. And alas, I'm not able to scare them up using their search tool. Using Google, I came up with https://letterboxd.com/crew/list/2021-h ... ted-films/ . Is that what you were thinking of? And joy, I just figured out how to get text to display, so it would actually be usable though I'm thinking maybe a pain to update an iCM list.

Does anyone have any shortcuts for either downloading Letterboxd lists or converting their ID numbers to IMDb (without either having to access each movie's page or cutting and pasting titles to IMDb or iCM for searching)? Or are these 'year in review' lists locked in, never changing, retrospectives? Sorry, just trying to understand what I'm dealing with and I'm not eager to create another account to explore until I think it's worth the effort.
They're updated weekly for one year, then left as a snapshot of the ratings at that time. He usually stops a week or two after the Oscars, so the 2022 list will likely get a final update next Monday.

I don't think they're on icm, I follow them on LB so I get updates in my email every week.

https://letterboxd.com/jack/list/letter ... 0-of-2020/
https://letterboxd.com/jack/list/letter ... 0-of-2021/
https://letterboxd.com/jack/list/letter ... ed-weekly/

They're all done by the same guy, and he has them back until 2016.
Thanks! Now that I've got a better idea what's going on, I'll see what I can do. Maybe I can start adding the fixed lists this week or next.

Hey, I remember you and other folks taking an intense dump on CODA .. :'(

I like my dose of nice every so often.
Well, to me, CODA was just sappy. There's a difference. Its attempts at comedy were strained too, whereas both of those animated flicks are genuinely funny.

3. Love Meetings (1964)
4. The Gospel According to Matthew (1964)
5. The Hawks and the Sparrows (1966)
6. Oedipus Rex (1967)
7. Teorema (1968)
8. Porcile (1969)
9. Medea (1969)
Plus a bunch of extra stuff and 2 short films.
Added them, thanks. Mamma Roma & Teorema were already in the list. Nothing newly official.
Sorry, but it looks like Criterion changed their minds and decided to not give the Pasolini set a spine number. They reassigned spine #1182 to The Servant. I don't know if you want to continue the policy of not including non-spine-numbered releases on the list (Bergman and Fellini sets for sure, maybe others).

I didn't realize there were other sets on the list without a Spine number. Criterion is not my specialty. I'll check with the other mods. Thanks for the heads up!

Misunderstanding: I mean the 9 main features of the box set are "real films" which would warrant an inclusion, unlike dubious outlier cases we had before (e.g. adding all 18 Beastie Boys videos on this).

Thanks for taking care of the update.

In regards to the Box Office Adjusted list, that has been broken on BOM's site for roughly a year now (maybe longer). Using the Wayback Machine, I can see that the Titanic 25th anniversary re-release sales aren't included, either, so it isn't just for new releases. Also, now going to page 2 throws an error (for me): https://www.boxofficemojo.com/chart/top ... offset=200

Is there any discussion, thoughts, or plans to update the source on this list to a different one on BOM, or from a different website? There is this one, although it only includes films released in 1977 or later: https://www.the-numbers.com/box-office- ... n-adjusted. Maybe we could take BOM's data that we have for pre-1977 films and then combine it with The Number's data for 1977 and later? The numbers on films aren't always the same between the two sites, either.

The current list has 118 films that are only official because of it.

edit:
some more data... there are 106 films from pre-1977 current on the BOM list.
there is also this page of data, if we wanted to re-config the list to be "top x films of each year" - https://www.the-numbers.com/movies/#tab=year
A few years ago, I made this list going back to 1975, but it could probably go back further: https://www.icheckmovies.com/lists/year ... asselfoot/

(I still absolutely hate the way we calculate the list. Critics poll and directors should be kept separate, the way god and nature intended.)

Is there a way to see a list of films recently made official checks? The automated messages only give ICM and IMDB lists from what I can tell.

At least you're getting those messages -- stopped a long time ago for me. Not sure I know of an easy way to get "new officials" as a user. I don't think we can see anything other than the date we checked the item. That said, I think Tim2460 runs some script to arrive at that information periodically. If he doesn't respond here, you might contact him directly. It certainly would be a great service to the community if we could post a weekly update system wide. I do know a couple users track/post on some lists (the box office lists for example), but not sure if anyone tracks all lists. Other than that, it's just keeping up with the "List X added a new title yesterday" type posts.

I always check here. If you're wanting updates to the regularly updated lists, you'll have to wade through them individually Otherwise, it's an easy way to get an 'alert' for lists that don't often receive updates.

Yeah, this thread is probably the best place for updates on newly official checks. Tim runs his script about once a month, so expect a new one covering March's additions in the next week or so.

In theory, you are able to sort lists (official or otherwise) by "last updated", but I've found that doesn't really work as intended, so not as useful as it could be.

Yeah, Cien años sin soledad: Greatest Latin American Films is the second most recently updated list if I sort by 'last updated, and that was last updated in february 2013.
