iCM Forum's 1000<400 (2022) The Next 1000 Films :ICM:

Currently on 271/1000 checks myself. I'm at 46% on the Top 1000 and 52% on the main list, so quite a bit to work on here.
I'm @ 473/1000 on Sol's the next 1000 List : thx for the list Sol instant Favorite !

 I think it's a fun reference point, as well as the obvious continuation point for 72aicm once he platinums the entire top 1000 yet again. :circle:

I didn't realize I was on the threshold until the film was over, but I just became the 400th check for "Dames" (1934).

Be advised: "Carriage to Vienna" is now at 399 checks.

It got a Bluray release. I'm sure all the voters for it are happy that it's now getting to a wider audience /s

Exciting times, and a film I'm sure we'll keep promoting long after it leaves the list.

Time to move on. Only 3 of my top 23 even made the list. There are a lot of great ones that deserve discovery....

Did it require a year along an abandoned road to get there?

Have you seen the film in question? There are a lot of great films on the <400 list that deserve to be discovered as well. That’s kind of the point with the list. :P

…while I agree, I do think the film is a perfect number one for this list, and it sums up the forums taste pretty well.

My comment meant no disrespect to Carriage of Vienna or the love that it has received in this forum. In fact it is high on my watchlist.

While It's not for everyone, one of my own top 10, Schaste Moe (My Joy), also involves a trip into the forest, though it takes a much darker turn.

That is another great one by Loznitsa (involving another critical trip into the forest) that I have high on my list for this poll.
