It was posted a few days ago in the TV Lounge so I'm reposting it here. Does anyone want to add it to iCM?
I'll work on adding this if no one else has started already.

Nice! Do they have the individual ballots published anywhere? An extended list would be very interesting (although it has its own pitfalls hot on the heels of what happened with the new Portuguese list...)

I don't know, but I appreciate their unique scoring system. Everyone submitted a top 20, 40 points for first place, 39 for second, down to 21 for first.

Stats: of the 12 already official films - other than Araya - 7 are (sometimes only) on the UNESCO list so far and a handful on one the Latin lists. That's it. No DtC, no TSP, nada.

Top 5 of this list by checks have: 303, 268, 184, 113 and 98 checks. Other than Araya (the great exception for everything), no Venezuelan film from the last century has more than 50 checks.

If you look on page 13 for the complete Top 50, only one, the very last 50th film in the list got 2 votes, the rest has 3+ with significant accumulation in the Top 4.

Can't really answer that last question, but a good subject for a list I think! (not sure how much general intrest it would get though...)

List I just created: The Criterion Channel’s Queersighted series: https://www.icheckmovies.com/lists/the+ ... beasterne/

Queersighted is a series from The Criterion Channel that examines film through a queer lens. There have been five installments going back to 2019. I think the films chosen are always quite interesting and appropriate based on the given subject (like Queer Fear, Breaking Taboos, etc). Currently 52 films have been included in the series, and hopefully more will be included in the future.

"Studio" might be the most relevant, or Misc, Institute, or Film Series.

It only really matters for filtering, and for icm enhanced (which moves non-Personal lists to the top, I believe).

But you could theoretically like how many works of the 2010s are included, even two from the 2020s (which surprised me). I remember that you weren't too fond of older the inclusions from our both Animation Top 100 lists on ICM .. :$

I'd agree with him. That's an absurdly excessive amount for a mediocre movie.

Well Empire calls it the greatest animated film of all time, so how's that?
"Spider-Verse excels on so many levels, it's already an instant classic – both as a superhero movie, and as an animated masterwork. It's a film so ahead of the game, it feels like it blasted in from another universe entirely."
I mean it's no ICM-exclusive phenomenon ..

Because I was just checking it for reference, might as well share:
Spiderverse is #65 of all time, 8.4 with 439k votes, on IMDb. It's #17 (yes 17) of all time with 4.4 at over 1 million votes on Letterboxd.
