While I do prefer the Cocteau Twins' signature "dream pop" sound that they would develop on their subsequent albums, I like to return to the post-punk/proto-Goth leanings of Garlands once in a while:

I’m to remember every man I've seen fall into a plate of spaghetti???

Takes a long time to get into their style and music but for everyone who is open to spending some time before reaping rewards when it comes to music I would recommend The Front Bottoms.

Went to the New York Philharmonic last night to hear Dvorak's New World Symphony. Have a listen if you've never heard it before:

But the surprise of the evening was a short accompanying piece by Charles Ives called The Unanswered Question. I was puzzled when the flutes and trumpet started playing because there were no flutes or trumpet onstage. I only found out later than the composer specifically directed that part of the orchestra was to play offstage, which was not something I knew was an option.

The chorus from Thaiboy Digital is too top 40 for me, but when Bladee comes in it takes a very interesting turn. He's not a good vocalist in a conventional sense, but he is someone who definitely knows how to utilize autotune.

I heard this song years ago and never liked it. But it was playing when I was at the cinema the other day and it's been stuck in my head ever since.

I will not be watching the Wonder Woman sequel for obvious reasons, plus I was born in 1984 and kind of consider it my year.

But the music from the trailer was kind of great:

I know this is a cover of a song by a British band. While the original song definitely sounds more authentically 80s, I prefer this updated version on the whole.
