Yeah, that's another 'interesting' bit of news I saw today. Since it comes with an immediate tit-for-tat, it will be interesting to see what it means for US forces in the states around Iran. The Kakistration might be eyeing more sanctions, especially against businesses that do business with the IRG, but I'm not sure the countermeasure won't be against military targets.

If we could just break the negative spin cycle we've had with Iran since the revolution -- but that's of no interest to Republicans -- the world could be a better place. But what did the Iranians get for negotiating and cooperating?

Yeah, I'm really disappointed by this move but not a bit surprised.

The US labels Iran's Revolutionary Guard a terrorist group.

https://www.google.com/amp/s/www.aljaze ... 56166.html
And Iran has declared the US Central Command (CENTCOM) a terrorist group. Central Command oversees US military operations in the Middle East.
Personal film goals for 2019.

Mike Gravel is even further left than it originally seemed. He did an AMA (with his team) on the subreddit of Chapo Trap House and openly said:
I think capitalism as we practice it and have for hundreds of years is untenable. I think that the workers of a company have to control the means of production and the company itself. I support ESOPs.

Actually no, I don't even have a reddit account.

(Dolwphin's post made me want to check in on Gravel to see what he was up to, and I stumbled over the AMA he did yesterday)

The staff seems excited and hopeful that unlike '08 there are actually viable candidates not pushing neoliberal policies, and one of the stated goal is now to push Sanders, Gabbard and Warren left, and drop out to endorse the most progressive/furthest left candidate. Another interesting point from the AMA was that they are purposefully not attacking Sanders and Warren. The tactic on stage will be the same - go after the liberals, and hold positions that will not only show Sanders/Warren as moderate, but plant seeds for the future by shifting the overtones window.

This time the focus will not only be on US intervention, but also worker's rights and other key left issues. Will be interesting to see if they make it. Gravel is 89, and seems frail, you have to admire his grit.

I keep hearing that Mike Gravel is a 9/11 truther and an antisemite. If he's at the debate, I feel like he's going to say something stupid.

Who needs Homeland Security if you just seal your borders completely? It's not as if we ever have domestic terror threats or anything.

The military trans ban is now in effect (u)

This probably ranks high or is at the top of the most disgusting tweets I've seen from Trump.

Also, he told people he would pardon them if they broke the law.

Trump has made a bunch of bad 9/11 remarks in the past. This is a thread if you're interested in knowing more

Anyways, this happened tonight:

He basically admits the facts shortly afterwards.

Ugh.

I live in a sanctuary city and I'm fine with immigrants. California also has a surplus. His logic is incredibly flawed and just plain racist. I'm sure undocumented immigrants would rather be transported to sanctuary cities than be departed or be in his camps.

I say again why should anyone release tax returns they should absolutely be kept private. Also if Trump is so terrible why are your fellow Americans likely to give him a second term. Also I am still being told that Mrs Clinton will stand after all. She does not understand why she is not got a chance of winning.

You are very pure and innocent to have have to this explained to you. Imagine if a President was in debt to banks or foreign interests *AND* they refused to divest themselves from their businesses. Why that would be a clear signal to voters that he would be more willing to act in his own business interests than the interests of America or Americans.

Also if Trump is so terrible why are your fellow Americans likely to give him a second term.
"If the Transformer movies are so terrible, why do they make so much money?" Because popularity and quality aren't the same thing, Cipp. I'd spend more time writing a more intelligent answer, but you'll likely never read it or address it. So I'll just assume you love Michael Bay movies along with Trump. :ermm:

Not really no. Trump had an expensive unnecessary enquiry and they found no collusion or obstruction. Why does he need money as he is a billionaire and only takes a dollar as salary.

Now, you're previously acknowledged that Trump is a liar and the source for both those pieces of information is Trump. So you are implicitly and blindly trusting an untrustworthy source.

First, the inquiry was not expensive. It costs as much as 4 of Trump's golfing vacations and even earned back that money in seized assets and forfeiture.

Second, we haven't actually read the results of the inquiry. it was delivered to the Attorney General of the US (a Trump loyalist) who summarized it rather quickly. Even in the summary it admits that it does NOT exonerate Trump of either obstruction or collusion.

Third, Trump has filed for bankruptcy six times and what little we've seen of his tax returns (a page from 1995) shows he posted a significant loss.

At some point you've got to wake up and stop believing liars.
