You're welcome!

Can I get away with "That I don't have a clue what to write"?
I'll allow it, though I'm eyeing you suspiciously... :folded:
Since I wrote "that I don't have a clue what to write", it is contradictory to that I don't have a clue what to write.

To avoid being under suspicion:

I very much enjoyed the movie, it had a lot of subtle moments that I liked very much. The acting was very well done and I highly recommend it to those that want their brains woken up and have to think about what's going on. I would very much like to see it a second time, as there are parts of it that I would love to see again.
Just noticed that I made it to the bonus challenge and one of the top 7; do you by any chance have a clue as to what the prize is? :cowbow:

56. High and Low (1963)
A really good Kurosawa noir film. Very cool kidnapping story, and I loved the police procedural aspect to it. Through no fault of its own, I didn't connect with it all that well, but it was still a very enjoyable watch.

57. Assault on Precinct 13 (1976)
This just didn't work for me. There was some cool stuff, but it felt too slow - I wanted more assault, less waiting. Kinda got bored a bit.

58. Charllie's Angels (2000)
I liked this a lot more back in the day.

59. Wind River (2017)
This was really good - a Western Mystery Thriller set on a reservation in Wyoming. A young woman is found frozen in the snow, raped. So the FBI and tribal police investigate. Beautiful scenery and a slow burn thriller with a hell of a climax and a surprisingly satisfying ending. Definitely recommended, and going on my favorites list.

9. Handmaid’s Tale - Season 3 - Episode 5 (2019) 6/10 Thriller
10. Handmaid’s Tale - Season 3 - Episode 6 (2019) 6/10 Thriller- So far, there are some “moments” that make this series worth watching at all: the acting and cinematography and all the female directors on the episodes. However, it’s incredibly slow.
11. Extremely Wicked, Shockingly Evil and Vile (2019) Thriller - 7/10 Joe Berlinger proves he can direct narrative features as well. I went into this never being that hot on Zac Efron and expecting to turn it off. While a bit dramatized (compared to the recent four hour long doc on Bundy), it was still a pleasant watch.
12. The Handmaid's Tale - Season 3 - (2019) Episode 7: Under His Eye (2019) 6/10 Thriller

19. The Act: Season One - Episode 8 - (2019) 7/10 Thriller
20. Beverly Hills Cop II (1987) Thriller 5/10 A lot of rehashed stuff with Eddie Murphy relying on his reputation as a star. The plot was so convoluted and the technology was so outdated that it was laughable.
21. The Drowning Pool (1975) Mystery 2/10 Male gaze mania.
22. The Handmaid's Tale - Season 3 - (2019) Episode 8 7/10 Thriller
23. D.O.A. (1988) 7/10 Thriller, Mystery
24. The Getaway (1972) Thriller
25. Romeo Is Bleeding (1993) Thriller 6/10 Some derivative plot points with great actors and a writer who decided everything should be as batshit crazy as possible.
26. Killing Eve (2018– ) S1, E1: Nice Face 7/10 Thriller - Some good acting, weird choices for music but still good (just because I like to listen to retro French music doesn’t mean it necessarily fits)
27. Killing Eve (2018– ) S1, E2: I’ll Deal with Him Later 7/10 Thriller
28. Killing Eve (2018– ) S1, E3
29. Brimstone (2016) 3/10 Thriller
30. Killing Eve (2018– ) S1, E4
31. Killing Eve (2018– ) S1, E5 Some convenient things in the script, but overall, the actors turn in good performances and it’s still interesting.
32. Killing Eve (2018– ) S1, E6
33. Killing Eve (2018– ) S1, E7
34. Killing Eve (2018– ) S1, E8 They left off when things were getting interesting.

37. Handmaid’s Tale - Season 3 - Episode 10 (2019) 6/10 Thriller

How was this season? I stopped watching, but Wife is still watching. She loved Season1, but was only OK with Season2 - still interesting and worth watching, but nowhere near as good.

Fun fact:

As measured by the number of points gained, this has been the 15th most popular challenge ever on this forum, and there are eight Horror challenges above it.

Also, please check the OP for accuracy with your scores.
Don't leave us hanging - what are the Most Popular Challenges?
1. Horror (2017)
2. Horror (2015)
3. Horror (2018)
4. Horror (2016)
5. Horror (2014)
6. Horror (2013)
7. 1990s - 2010s (2018)
8. <400 Checks (2018)
9. Sci-Fi/Fantasy (2019)
10. Horror (2012)
11. Noir (2017)
12. Sci-Fi/Fantasty (2018)
13. Documentary (2017)
14. Horror (2011)
15. This challenge

PS: That was a fun story! And definitely watch Drop Dead Gorgeous when you get a chance - it's super fun and hilarious small-town Minnesota.
Thanks for the stats. that's an interesting list. If i am correct only two of the them fell in the same month - last years <400 and 1990-2010s.

Can you post the results in Horror 16 max? Seems there are no table at all there. I only have stats for everything combined. Post it in the end at viewtopic.php?f=10&t=2624 perhaps. Or maybe I need new glasses

Final Stats and Challenge Update

Users
Through the month of July, we've had 35 participants (+5) in the Mystery/Suspense/Thriller Challenge! flavo5000 has thrilled us all with a win, amassing 137 watches. Stalking right behind to round out the top five were 72allinncallme, psychotronicbeatnik, albajos, and Traveller, with 119, 112, 106, and 93 watches, respectively. At total of 32 people made it into double-digits, and 22 had above 20 watches. Perhaps even more impressively, we had 14 people with at least 50 watches this challenge. And with 1537 total points divided among participants, the average performer is at 43.91.

Leader board is up-to-date and maintained in the first post.

Years
Films watched ranged from 1920 to 2019, covering 93 unique years in film. Our most recent year with zero watches was 1941. 2019 ended as the most-watched year with 110 watches, followed by 2018 and 2017 with 90 and 70 watches, respectively. Fifty-five other years finished in double-digits, the oldest of which was 1942. Here's a list of watch count by decade:

Decade Count
1920 10
1930 42
1940 84
1950 51
1960 106
1970 155
1980 134
1990 210
2000 252
2010 493

Bonus Challenge #1 Update
In all, seven brave and awesome souls sought out Clue, earning the undying adoration of the host. So congrats and thank you to 3eyes, AB537, albajos, blocho, maxwelldeux, VincentPrice, and wowwee123 for experiencing a masterpiece of board game cinema.

Bonus Challenge #2 Update
Twenty-two mysteries were solved in July, with sol earning the Sherlock Holmes award by solving nine of them. :poshclap: Congrats also to flavo5000 for solving four others, blocho for solving three, and albajos for solving two. vincentprice, jeroeno, peeptoad, and shugs are also cracked the case with one each.

Bonus Challenge #3 Update
Though added late in the game because of a heart-wrenching discovery, two brave and awesome souls sought out Drop Dead Gorgeous, earning the undying adoration of the host and getting to experience quintessential small-town Minnesota. So congrats and thank you to albajos and maxwelldeux for experiencing a masterpiece of the upper Midwest. The rest of you may name and spell all 50 United States in alphabetical order.

Spoiler tag of the week
One of my favorite part of hosting challenges is reading the captions people put on the spoiler tags. This week's winner is me, maxwelldeux for "Maxwelldeux, in the ICM Forum, with the Razor-Sharp Wit" because I made an awesome Clue reference and I'm going to force you to look at it one more time. Congrats to me! :P
