Hey sacmersault, are you aware of YuMex? There was a whole movement of singers who back in the 50s and 60s covered Mexican music because of Cold War/Non-Alignment thing.sacmersault on Jul 2 2018, 08:01:43 PM wrote:1. That is so cool. Thanks, Mario!Mario Gaborović on Jul 3 2018, 06:05:29 AM wrote:Hey sacmersault, are you aware of YuMex? Thanks Mario! I didn't know such a thing existed. When I recognized the melody, I did a bit of research and supposedly the director included songs like this in a few of his movies. It still is a bit weird seeing/hearing this, especially because culturally we're super far apart.Mario Gaborović on Jul 3 2018, 06:05:29 AM wrote:Hey sacmersault, are you aware of YuMex? This was pretty much Forman (unsurprisingly, he studied at FAMU), but later he shifted to Fellini vibe and sometimes even Jeunet (Underground).Fergenaprido on Jul 4 2018, 04:53:58 PM wrote:Sjećaš li se, Dolly Bell? - 6.5ish - odd brand of humour, not really my style. I also watched because Arthur's recommendation. I loved it then and even chose Greece just because of this film. So all credits should go to him.Fergenaprido on Jul 4 2018, 04:53:58 PM wrote:1. This is one of my all time favourite films. Unfortunately no other hidden gems. Maybe the forum will like Singapore Slingtommy_leazaq on Jul 5 2018, 01:06:36 AM wrote:I also watched because Arthur's recommendation. I loved it then and even chose Greece just because of this film. Hope he has another gem of this kind up in his sleeve. Could very well use it again in the next round
