Managed to fit these two in in spite of travelling :)

1. I compagni 8ish
2. Eltávozott nap 7ish

I think this is the first time I've voted for Italy in the World Cup; I was dreading watching the film at first. I really liked the story; found it engaging, heartbreaking, and interesting, and it was a pleasant change from the comedies of previous rounds. The dubbing also bothered me much less than usual, so maybe I'm finally getting used to it. The Hungarian film was intriguing, but it just didn't grab me as much.

Is this the match with the lowest participation? I thought more people had already watched "I compagni" since it's been on TSPDT and currently on a high position of 500<400. But it turns out that at least 19 checks were new, that's roughly two thirds of all the votes. Well, at least Monicelli is redeemed from his last year's reversal.

Congrats, sorti. Looking forward to your picking a giallo or a sex comedy next.

I totally forgot about this, been really busy the last few days. Luckily whatever my vote would have been wouldn't have made a difference.

Although I am mostly happy with the response towards my pick for Hungary
still feel bad about for loosing a good country, that another had managed to get this far
what is more to blame, the popularity of the Italian choice, or my own preference for hidden gems? :)

As of now, Hungary will probably finish 7th which means you left 41 country behind, compared to 6 ahead of it. If you expected more than that, well it's not Christmas every day.

Not had power now for just over 24 hours. Was half way through Hungary's entry which I think would have been my winner. I'll finish it when power comes back as I was enjoying it!
