Hey, this actually is on my (narrow) IMDb watchlist! I mean Watership Down is my favorite 1978 film and I'm an anime fan, so ..

btw, Grease is an interesting one - just Ctrl+F the first page, it's nominated quite often and always on ranks like 1, 3 or 5.
I might even watch Killer of Sheep before the deadline to correct this poll distortion ..
IMDb lists CAPRICORN ONE as a 1977 film by virtue of that release in Japan, so as far as I'm concerned it is a 1977 film for purposes of this poll. If the information about the film being released in Japan in 1977 turns out to be incorrect, I would consider making it eligible for this poll, and if IMDb changes the film's year to 1978 before the poll ends, it would definitely be eligible. But there are some eBay-type sources which support a 1977 release in Japan:
