Haven't seen them yet myself, mostly because of the daunting run time ... they're clearly the top 3 in the current ICM all time list I've missed. Hoping to fix that this year, most likely during the war challenge in November.

I don't really get why you would create "groups" in the middle of otherwise ranked ... but who knows ,)
Is that what he means?
That's pretty weird. Ah well, if you can handle it, go ahead.

that's the way PA compute this very same list.

I have grabbed Ferge CSV : consider the result processing on the way : no more new lists will be acepted.

Re: The Human Condition, I actually got to see that in theaters a couple years back--it's quite a film, and many of the shots are still burned in my memory (including the very first scene, which is impressive given the runtime).

I didn't wind up reordering my favorites list after I posted it but I'm still happy with it overall. Hopefully I'll find some new movies to add to it for next year :)

You may still be able to get it added if you have a quick IMDb link (which I think you do ;) )

That's really long. Was it mostly caused by doing this in Excel with all the groupranks instead of using the script? Or was there something else that caused a delay?

Sorting the 51 000 lines of votes from the 91 extractd lists, setting the ranked vote is the easiest, any other scenario implies summing the vote div by the number of votes etc etc ...
PA list of voters is also more difficult to set up than the usual way fot the Result thread...

There are 2 TVSeries on the top 2000 :

Twin Peaks 2017
Die Zweite Heimat - Chronik Einer Jugend 1992

Don't know yet what i can do with thoses because they were included last year... Maybe let them at their place and remove them from the ICM Lists.

Guess I gotta explore some Monteiro. Only seen that water hovering one, and wasn't too impressed, but maybe it was just bad timing. Nice to see love for Heart of Glass and Anatahan, both of which could've made my list.
Hovering Over Water is my least favorite of his. His big pictures is the 90's films. His João de Deus character is the postmodern mash-up of Chaplin, Tati and Woody Allen. His greatest stuff is breathtakingly beautiful while being extremely perverse. A more perverted Woody Allen by way of Tarkovsky - or something. The love for cinema oozes from his films.
If I had rated my list Anatahan would probably have ended up in the top 20. One of the best things ever for me.
Herz aus Glas is an old favorite I keep returning to.

More likely edit wars between users switching things back and forth. I think this forum has always considered Heimat 2 a mini-series, and thus eligible for polls. The 2017 Twin Peaks is more complicated, with different people thinking different things.

At first I thought 5+ hours did seem like a long time, even with taking the grouped rankings into account, but then when I factor in all the double-checking, manual editing and formatting, and trying to match it to look like PA's style instead of replicating your own, that does seem reasonable.

Thanks for all your hard work on this Tim :)

Twin Peaks 2017 is in our favorite tv series top 100, so therefor a tv series. The voters have spoken on this. :D

Weirdly don't see all the Twin Peaks voters go for other TV Series... guess their "non-binary" thinking only extends to shows directed by famous film directors. Either there is a difference between film and TV or there isn't. Rightly or wrongly, they are excluded from this poll.

But seriously. We made our own definition for tv - or mini-series for their polls, so why not stick with our own definition, since IMDb goes back and forth with tags on some series.

A mini-series is 16 episodes or less, not multiple seasons, and not planned to be longer but canceled, and is intended as a single unified work and not episodic.

I think the definition was verbatim "Guys it's IcheckMOVIES not Icheckseries ffs!, if there are doubts if an entry just about still counts as a mini-series and not a TV series, maybe just stick to nominating films? Because I heard there are plenty of them."

So Twin Peaks Season 3 doesn't count right?
