Struggling with all the CSV issues has been a struggle, but it gave me an idea of how I can make this process more efficient in the future.
Do you rate films on imdb? If so, then you just need to match the imdb ttids from the ballot to an export of your ratings. Same can be done if you exported your checks from icm. Shouldn't have any issue with those weird Japanese characters you mentioned.
I am almost there. I have matched by IMDB tt code since the URLs in the exported list from ICM do not match the ballot format. But for some reason I am still seeing a one film difference between ICM check count and number of ratings on my ballot.

In any case I sent my ballot.

346 total ratings, and they follow a pretty standard gaussian curve between 0-6.

Noticed there are movies on the ballot that are not in the ICM list by Hunziker (572/1165 checks -> rated 578), so there might be one or two others I've failed to spot now...

breakdown:
rank - votes - percentage
6 - 49 - 8
5 - 91 - 16
4 - 112 - 19
3 - 142 - 25
2 - 76 - 13
1 - 91 - 16
0 - 17 - 3

I expect to see 40 to 60 movies for the challenge, will send in my additional votes at the end of next month!
I'm sending in my updated ballot in a minute. Complete with the few movies I missed last time and everything I watched in the DtC challenge so far!

6 - 53 - 8 %
5 - 98 - 16 %
4 - 124 - 20 %
3 - 157 - 25 %
2 - 83 - 13 %
1 - 95 - 15 %
0 - 20 - 3 %

total votes: 630 (so +52 votes!!)
average rating: 3,23

Ballot sent. 232 ratings. Average is 3.65

6 - 40
5 - 47
4 - 52
3 - 33
2 - 22
1 - 20
0 - 18

Didn't expect to be so top heavy in my ratings, but maybe that's because I didn't get around to watching a lot of the nominees this month, which usually brings my average down.

Wow, not an easy task indeed.

I found the first one:

But no luck with the two next ones so far

I Do Not Know What It Is I Am Like (1986) has been my eternal holdover. I was also the original nominator of Where I Am Is Here (1964), and if memory serves me right, I think Regarding Penelope's Wake (2002) was a nomination from longsilence.

This first appeared on the ballot in 2015. It's not mentioned in the thread on this forum aside from Ángel's posts, so it must have been nominated by someone on the CFB board, which is no longer accessible as far as I know.

I'm pretty sure it was nominated by longsilence back then. 'Simone Barbès ou la vertu' too, if memory serves.

'I Think They Call Him John' was promoted by Arthur/triple X apathy quite a bit, so I'm guessing him.

'Rameau's Nephew' maybe perceval?

I found some in one of the various spreadsheets you sent me back in 2015 Ángel :) I remember I was trying to catalog all the films ever nominated back then, so I must have done some research at the time before giving up.

Hringurinn (1985) - first appeared in 2015, must be from CFB - I have it marked down as a nom from Sy9.
I Do Not Know What It Is I Am Like (1986)
I Think They Call Him John (1964) - Nominated by Pretentious Hipster in 2016 on this forum.
La rivière du hibou (1961)
'Rameau's Nephew' by Diderot (Thanx to Dennis Young) by Wilma Schoen (1974) - Nominated by perceval in 2016 on this forum.
Regarding Penelope's Wake (2002) - Found this nom from hydrangea in 2017 on SFCZ.
Simone Barbès ou la vertu (1980) - first appeared in 2016, it's not mentioned in either the icm nor the SFCZ threads, so must have come from CFB.
Ulica Graniczna (1948) - first appeared in 2015, must be from CFB - I have it marked down as a nom from MovieGuide1.
Where I Am Is Here (1964) - I have this marked down as from jdidaco as well.

Can't find the other two, but hibou was in the list in 2010. I can't search for the other one on this forum because all the words in the title are deemed too common for the search to function.

In 2016 I made an IMDb list of that year's DtC nominations, and I labelled every non-automatic nomination with the name of the nominator:
https://www.imdb.com/list/ls033376345/

I did something similar with 2015 nominations, but less user-friendly, I'm afraid - only the first nomination of each user is labelled, followed by the rest of their nominations, unlabelled, followed by the next user's batch, with only their first nomination labelled, and so on.
So this list cannot be reordered, but can only be used in its original order:

Even 36 hours is okay. For now I am checking all the files (ballot, old DtC list, old runners-up) and I plan to put it all together on Saturday to see what comes out...

Ballot sent. Apparently I rated 126 this year, 246 last year, 180 in '19, 209 in '18, 189 in '17, 190 in '16, & I'm guessing less than 150 for the other years I participated (so probably '15, '14, and maybe '13 too).

I've just submitted a write-in list of 10 further ratings. Also, I have submitted a revised rating for one film. I hope that that is OK.

Among these, probably the single most unique and (disturbingly/disorientatingly) brilliant film of my challenge. A massive thank you to Carmel for the nudge to this troubling, imaginative, unforgettable gem. 10/10, or should I say 6/6. (l)

It is possible that I'll have two or three more after tonight and tomorrow. I'll email them along for Friday evening, if so.
That's all, folks!
