I noticed that you included All Quiet on the Western Front. I'm not sure if that one's eligible.

I just filtered on Sound Mix = Silent on Imdb. I'll remove this one, since apparently there's both a silent and a sound version of it (and I think I saw the sound one).

I'm SOOO confused after reading all of the discussion here.

Am I allowed to include contemporary silent films such as Blancanieves and La Antena, or are they just going to get filtered out?

(and yes, I know I should have asked this earlier rather in the last two days of the poll but oh well)

It was decided this is a poll for the best Silent movies from the Silent Era, so silents made after that aren't eligble.

Only 9's and 10's. Won't bother to filter my 8's as well, so just a short list this time full of well known titles and a very high percentage of Keaton shorts.

Still very short of time and planned to just fall back on the list I submitted last time, only to discover that I didn't actually submit a list then! This one's thrown together super-fast, but ranked nonetheless:

I live in CST in the US. What time tomorrow is the deadline? I have three films that I want to watch between now and then, and one of them is 264 minutes.

Normally the host starts downloading lists the day after, so as long as it's the 29th in your country, you're good to go.

Here's my list, ranked: https://www.imdb.com/list/ls082700851/

Turns out none of the modern silents made my list anyway, so it was a moot point for me (Blancanieves and The Artist would have been at the very bottom if I had extended it more). I don't aim for round numbers for my lists, but this one ended up at a nice 50, so I don't think I'll watch anything else before the deadline.

I'm watching Eisenstein's The General Line. After that, I intend to squeeze in Diary of a Lost Girl and I'll be done. My list won't be nearly as impressive as some, but I'm discovering that I'm passionate about silent film, so I plan to watch a whole lot more of it in the coming year.

For what I've seen, it's a pretty nice list, I think. I restricted it to features.

https://www.icheckmovies.com/lists/kong ... gs_speech/

1-4 - 5/5
5-10 - 4.5/5
11-22 - 4/5

OK : grabbing all the list; check the OP if everything ok, especially if you're spotted as ranked or unranked

I'll let you know if there were films i consider Hors Sujet as we say here.

There's a redundant space in the topic title (after 'edition'). Can someone remove it, please? :geek:

'Études sur Paris' is from 1928 as far as I know. Don't know what imdb is on about, but they listed it as 1928 in the past.
