Not everything, but it sure is something. Not a big fan of the series myself, but I get why some love it. There are some pretty hilarious ideas in there.

The final scene of The Human Centipede is one of the most haunting endings that I can think of for any film this century. To be honest, I didn't exactly love the film at the time, but it has definitely swum around better in my mind in the months since viewing it. I should really rewatch the entire trilogy at some point because 3>2>1 in my books with Tom Six getting increasingly self-referential, and even further taking the mickey out of his previous films, with each further entry - all of which exist in universes in which the previous movie(s) exist(s). I would have voted for the two sequels too had they also been Dutch productions.

One of the films that turned me away from Flemish/Belgian cinema for a long time.

At least 22 Mei and Alléluia made it.

Human Centipede has one thing going for it: It ain‘t Human Centipede 2 or 3. Especially the second part is unbearably dull. Part three is facepalmingly bad, but it has Eric Roberts in a small roll. I also liked watching Dieter Laser in his role.

Damn, Amsterdamned should have made it to the bottom of my list. Not a bad movie - and a great title.

I'm surprised you liked this one, but will second the recommend. Not much plot, all mood, but very quirky and original.

I expected Soldaat van Oranje to be much higher, because it's often regarded as one of the top 3 Dutch movies

Only Dutch and Flemish voters for this one. I wonder how many non-Dutch/Flemish members here have actually seen this one. Nice to see it making the list.

Btw, the director is the singer (frontman, writer, everything,...) of Deus.
I'm surprised you liked this one, but will second the recommend. Not much plot, all mood, but very quirky and original.
Well, maybe I was prejudiced. I only watched this because Tom made it. I was a huge Deus fan in the 90's. I watched this movie in a cinema in Antwerp in 2003. I hadn't seen a lot of movies back then outside of recent Hollywood stuff and I thought this was refreshing and funny. Rather chaotic, but that was part of the fun.

Until a few minutes ago I had been under the impression that D'Ardennen was a documentary about Jean-Pierre and Luc Dardenne. It turns out that it isn't.

Well, I don't like dEUS at all but I agree with the rest. I pegged you more as a fan of narrative cinema though, that's all :)

I'm guessing not a single Johan van der Keuken film will be in the top 75.

Only one Dardenne so far. They might be half of the top 10.
