Welcome to the schedule of iCM Forum World Cup - Season 3 - Semi Finals. If you don't know what this is, read the preparation topic.

Rules in the Semi Finals:
- You must watch both films of a match before you vote.
- To vote post which of the two movies is your favorite. (note: you're ranking the individual films, not the countries)
- Don't vote in this thread. Each match will have its own thread according to the schedule.
- The movie with the most votes proceeds to the Finals.
- In case of a tie between the movies, the match will have a 3 day extension awaiting extra voters.

Okay, I've already seen the 4 films so this is not going to interfere with my busy DtC schedule.

Pity about pairings, my two favorites are in match B.

I bought A Bloody Spear on Mount Fuji on blu-ray from Arrow at their latest sale. So that's a nice coincidence. And now I have an extra incentive to watch it. Haven't seen any of the others either.

I'm not planning on having a 3rd place match this time. It wasn't very popular last time. Maybe that was caused by the fact that it was held after the final or it was caused by the choice of the movies. Anyway, do people feel the need for a 3rd place match this season?

I see it as a good opportunity to show some films you think otherwise wouldn't win... such as comedy or horror.

I don't want the match if managers use it to promote movies they thought couldn't win another match. If you want to promote a movie, there are other ways.

But why not! Let's go! Whoever doesn't want to participate can skip it and lose perfect participation. Maybe have people agree to pick a really obscure movie for fun so that Greece doesn't waste what it can use next time, or something like that.
Was last time that bad?

Looks like it tends towards NOT having a bronze match.

I vote YES to having a match for third place, even if it takes place after the final.

A: Even so, a small reward and consolation prize for those who ended their run one step before the final.
B: Get somebody neutral (yourself?) to approve the picks.

No. Just leave it. The WC has been long enough. Done is done.

Filmbantha can start considering his final pick. SF-B runs till the 21st. Is it possible for funky or monty to select the last movie directly after the match is done? I'd like to start the final at the 24th. If that's too soon, it will be a week later, because some people prefer to have the deadline at the end of the weekend.

I've already got it narrowed down to less than a handful so three days isn't a problem

Because of the extension of semifinal B, the final will start later. Deadline for filmbantha and monty/funky to submit their final movie is March 30th, so I can start the match on Sunday the 31st. Match will run from Sunday till Sunday for two weeks.

Now let's hope the extension will result in a winner.
