The export-file of your list is empty. :(
There's nothing wrong with your list. Something went wrong with the list downloader script, but apparently he didn't tell me. Now I have to do a lot of stuff from scratch. New results tomorrow, guys.......

Apparently the list downloader didn't download any iCM lists correctly, so I have to do download them manually.

Because of this delay, there's still time if someone wants to convince me Decasia is a documentary, because I had removed it from the list I had started.

My best answer would be that it shows the decaying of the film and the original content is secondary. Thus the film documents the deterioration and points out how it the silent times they hadn't figured out that everything should be preserved. Though I saw it years ago and might be mistaken.

Review on the Guardian to refresh your memory if you want:
https://www.theguardian.com/film/2003/sep/26/art
That review doesn't convince me either.

Btw, it was #78 on the previous edition of our docu-list.

Yeah, no rush; don't sweat it. I'm just glad that it wasn't just me. It actually makes sense that other lists were affected too; I was surprised that a film with only two votes (and neither of them top 5 votes) seemed to have enough points to make the cut. The screencap does intrigue me though.

Decasia was the only one I initially removed after nobody replied to my comment about it on the nomination-thread. Maybe nobody reads that topic.
I have personal doubts about other, if I would have made a list myself, but Decasia was the only one about which I scratched my head.

Maybe I should just leave everything as it is. No 2 vote movies are left, so that make the chance a lot smaller that borderline cases will enter the list. There is more consensus this way. After the new download of the iCM lists some others entered the list including an experimental film and a concert film. The experimental film might be called a documentary, so I guess I shouldn't use my veto. The concert film also includes some interviews (haven't seen it, only read about it), so I guess I have to accept that one as well. It's not as bad as the musical list.

Although I have it high in my list I am fine with whatever you decide.

I am hoping this level of inquiry will continue in the future for our other lists. For example, it would be nice to see a best horror list without the Abbott and Costello comedy and the dancing skeleton short.

I'll leave it on. It's just one title. I just hope people don't vote for it, just because it has a documentary-tag on IMDb, but because they really think it has some documentary-value.

To be honest I added things with a documentary tag from my favourites list. I explicitly cut out a few that were music, but did not think about this particular film.

I don't blame you. There are other voters as well. Last time it was in the top 100, so quite a few people supported it back then as well.

I haven't seen Pink Floyd: Live at Pompeii, but I judged it on the IMDb-synopsis: "The 80-minute version features studio footage from the recordings of Dark side of the Moon, with alternate versions of Us and them, On the run and Brain Damage, as well as interviews with the band."
So I guess it's more than a concert video?

Yes, I saw it two weeks ago. It's not even a concert as there is no audience. They're just playing a few songs in the ruins for some reason. But mostly it is about them being Pink Floyd.

A close comparion could be Sigur Rós: Heima

Ha, I didn't even think to include that Nathan for You series finale when putting together my list, I guess I never thought of it as fitting the "documentary" category, but I suppose it does. Reflecting back on it, and especially when separating it from the rest of the Nathan for You episodes, it sort of is its own mini-documentary. I loved it, for what it's worth.

I love the Up series and would have put it on my list, but could not be bothered to assign a spot for each and rank them.

Seemed like too much hassle.

Food Inc is 197!

I've seen it, enjoyed it, didn't vote for it. But I've met Bob Kenner through a friend of a friend. Maybe I should let him know he made the list.

By the way, if anyone is planning on going to the Santa Barbara film festival next weekend, my mother's doc is playing there. It's called "Afterward"
