Next your going to say something disturbing like accessing this forum via "Active Topics" is evil and misguided.
But to be clear, just because my personal usage patterns have changed doesn't mean there is no value in the progress page. A good reason for this change has been a movement away from being able to find things in the physical library collection (pre-covid) and instead finding things I can stream. Clearly this is the only option now. When I come across something that I want to add to my watchlist, I do that on the streaming service, but that has limitations. I also add it to my spreadsheet since this allows me to record the most important data and aides searching.
And one of the reason I switched to bookmarking my added lists page is I also have lists for each streaming service which I can run list compare on, say in the voting phase of DtC since I wouldn't have captured that information before the ballot was released. So, using either my spreadsheet or one of the iCM lists I've created for streaming services, I can pick a movie to watch.
That's not to say I don't work a list. When the BOM lists changed, I'd access them via the progress page. Same was true after 21st Century Updated and I wanted to see which of the new additions I could either check out or stream. I'll probably do the same after DtC updates. But frankly, going to the Romanian, HKFA, Guldbagge, Turkish, or Korean lists (as examples) and searching for each movie in library catalog is pretty much a waste of time. I used to do that with a lot of the lists, but I'm convinced I've already seen most of everything in the local collection. It will probably be worth doing with the new Latin American decade lists once libraries reopen, but that's only because the local libraries are pretty aggressive in purchasing Spanish language materials and they'll all be from the last decade.
