I usualy shrink the list back to just one movie before removing the list...
Does that help? I remember doing that a couple of times but I don't think I noticed a difference. I just reuse lists.
well ... this way and deleting just one list at a time it MAY work ;)

and on the same time i delete 34 IMDB lists ,)

This probably has been mentioned before, but why are so-called "Private" lists publicly visible in beta ICM?

not entirely sure this is the case - are you seeing your own Private lists or someone else's? I checked mine and while I can see my private lists on beta, I can't see it if I'm not logged in on that account but looking at the same page. I think this actually makes better sense (to be able to see one's own private lists displayed) but it should be clearer to the end user that this is what is happening. I'd also like others to verify that this is what they are seeing as well before I say anything on the official forum.

A quick way to check: I have The Two Popes on a private list. Can anyone else give me that list's name?

Did you create a new list or add it to an existing private list?
Private lists don't show up in the list of lists there, but are accessible with an url. I couldn't find your list among the last 15 created so I assume it's an old list and I don't know how long it would take to find. There are 36000 lists.
I assume it's a permissions bug.

Did you have to pick a film on 74 lists? :) I don't think I see your private list, but I've seen them for other people. And I've seen at least one of my own private lists after I logged off and looked at a film's beta page as a "guest."

while I saw that was the total number of lists the movie is supposedly on, it also seemed to display far fewer public lists - I think the total was 41. The is the possibility that when you log out, you might still see a cached page from your most recent visit. So even on IMDb, if I rate a movie then go to the trivia page and back to the main page, it won't show my rating until I reload that page. So these problems can sometimes be hard to diagnose.

I guess the important take-away is that not everything marked 'private' on the internet is private :satstunned:

It's an issue that was brought up once before. I don't know if it was brought up to Marijn since I don't remember if it was Ebby or Joachim who brought it up or when or where. If it was joachim it's possible we thought it was only mods that had that ability? I don't recall the specifics. It's relatively minor since the link doesn't show up anywhere but it is something that should be fixed.

I can also see the "new private list" and I have two thoughts.

1. As admins, do we see private lists that regular users wouldn't see? I can also edit the list.
2. Could it be that it's not private, but rather "friends only"?

I don't know about the editing part, but the viewing is not a mod/admin thing, you can see the list without being signed in.

I recently amassed a huge pile of AKA titles to submit to the "Films that need updates from IMDb" thread, and 99.9% of them were taken from a mjf314 list called "test list Japanese" that I think is supposed to be private. I know you can't find it on standard ICM...only on the beta.

Yeah, I noticed that list when I was doing updates. It also led me to discover that we can update the data from imdb from the list view and not just the page view.

I am not sure if this is a bug, but I believe official ranked list user ranks have not been updated for the last several days. I checked my second film on the Goya list on Sunday night (5/31), but my rank is still the same as when I only had 1 check. I also looked at the ranks of other users, and for users with 2 checks their rank is a lot higher than mine.

I don't know if this is happening on all lists or just on this one, but it's standing out on this particular list for me.

My official-check tally has been wrong for at least eight days. Probably a lot longer. I don't even know when this started, because I hadn't been monitoring this.

The rankings say I have 5,549 official checks. But if I sort my checks by # official lists and find the spot where the unofficial checks start, I can see that I actually have 5,534.

The #1 user RonJensen is credited with 77 more official checks than he has (13890 --> 13967).

What would cause such a large discrepancy?

Example: Including shorts, I have 170 films on my watchlist. SIXTY of them wrongly say 0 toplists. Two of the worst cases:

https://beta.icheckmovies.com/movies/11 ... an+company (actually 32 lists)
https://beta.icheckmovies.com/movies/34 ... +par+agnes (29 lists)

Example: I also have a separate list of 55 shorts to watch, which all appear on at least 14 lists. 23 of those wrongly say 0 lists. A few more top examples:

I know it has been mentioned before but is there any news on when the Most Favourite List will be updated/fixed? It was last updated on Mar 12 and used to be updated twice weekly, as I would love checking it regularly for new entries.

IMDB Ratings import is broken?
Whoops!
It looks like something went wrong. Please check the form for errors, fix them and repost! Ensure that you:

Make the list "public" by going to your ratings page on IMDb and click on "Change list settings".
Then click on the "Make this list a public list visible to all IMDb Users" option and try re-importing the votes.
Edit: looks like the file import is just too big. I trimmed it up and it imported.

In addition to the huge, still-unfixed problems with wrong check tallies and so many films wrongly listed as being on zero lists, I notice that films on the formerly official "Top 500 Horror Movies" list cite this list as official. For instance:

https://www.icheckmovies.com/movies/par ... heckmovies

It says "Official (0)" but then displays the list anyway.

If this has been mentioned before, apologies.

there's been some weirdness with certain international internet backbone routers today - maybe?

I can't get the page of my added movies to load (which is how I navigate to my progress page in an effort to answer your question - as well as see the time stamp to know when you posted)

edit: this is really strange - just tried to submit the above via the quick reply form at the bottom of the page and it says "The submitted form was invalid. Try submitting again." but that's a forum bug

edit 2: okay, that time it posted and it's been many hours since your difficulty (and I still can't iCM to load) - just got the iCheckMovies is down! page but that's not uncommon for me late at night (my local time, early AM in the Netherlands)

Listen, Daddy. Teacher says, 'every time a car alarm bleeps, into heaven a demon sneaks.'
