Not really a bug, per se, but I just noticed a strange phenomenon: Search ICM for titles containing "Blind" and you also get all items containing "Planet." Why? :)
Another fun weird one is to try to go to the "Friends" TV-series page.

I'm not sure when this started but, seemingly for days and days now, my displayed tally of official checks is three more than what's observable if I order my checks by official lists and note where the "unofficial" films start. Anyone else?

I'm four off - I noticed a similar thing when gathering data on the number of people with each award on each list. Best I can tell, a few of the pages pull 26 results instead of 25. But not sure why it happens.

Since the 500<400 update, now I consistently have FIVE more checks than I seemingly deserve. Maybe everyone has a bonus like this, but would rather not point it out. ;)

And it doesn't seem to be a case of check-history pages having something other than 25 films, because the number of "leftover" films on the final page fits my overall tally.

My official checks are 22 off: 4262 in the checked movies list and 4240 in the top users ranking. Maybe due to both lists not being updated at the same time?

I wonder if this problem began in recent months when our newly seen official checks started being immediately added to our tallies. Maybe this negated the function of the site recalculating our check tallies when official lists are updated. I'm surprised there aren't more responses to this issue, because this is a pretty central problem.

Like, I formerly had three more checks than I deserved. Then the 500<400 poll was revealed, which I calculated would result in a net loss of two checks for me. Since then, I have five checks too many. Three plus two equals five. Seems like that net loss did not get tabulated.

I looked at the tallies of a few people ranking in my immediate vicinity, and they all seemed wrong too. And one person was credited with eight more checks than she deserved. Another person actually had two LESS checks than deserved.

Is the overage in the old iCM or the beta? I've noticed that the beta doesn't refresh totals quite as often and I was underreported for quite some time.

I never noticed this or even thought about it before. Just checked, and I have 2329 official checks when looking at the Profile charts (users by rank) and 2331 official checks when looking at my checks sorted by # official lists. (checking in current version, not beta).

Okay, I think I understand what @Fergenaprido did and I show 7787 official checks on the leaderboard but count 7780 when figuring my official checks via "Your checked movies" sorted by "in # official toplists". I have 311 full pages of official checks - 311 X 25 = 7775 + 5 official checks on page 312.

At first I'd expected the discrepancy to have fewer checks on the leaderboard since I wasn't certain that the total updates immediately upon checking an official toplist film; but even assuming that is the case, then it would only make the gap wider.

So yeah, there seem to be more official checks credited on the leaderboard than deserved according to the actual checks detail.

One other thought: maybe the leaderboard includes movies that are now actually official checks but show on an official list as on 0 top lists. Can't offer a screenprint right now, but for example, when 500<400 was updated or when any list becomes official, it takes a few days for all the data to update so even though a list is official, movies gaining official status at that moment might still stay they are unofficial or "on 0 official toplists".

Any idea what's the latest film to gain official status? I've checked lists that update frequently (but haven't checked any IMDb list other than Top 250) and can't find an example of what I'm talking about.

per above, here's a screenshot of three movies that are official but don't yet show it.

Okay, and to test my theory, I went ahead and viewed my official checks on the leaderboard (7833), checked the three noir I hadn't seen in the screenshot and my official checks total on the leaderboard jumped to 7836. Likewise I sorted my checks by number of official checks and before checking those three noirs I had 7833 official checks. After checking, still 7833. So it seems that until those three movies say "in 1 top lists" they will continue to sort with those films in 0 top lists. Makes sense actually though I wonder about the mechanism that updates the leaderboard but will leave that to the programmers.

And don't worry, have removed those three checks since I haven't seen those three movies! Oh, the thrill of The Five Minutes of Living Dangerously on iCM!!! :cowbow:

Has this been happening to anybody else in the past few days? It happens on 2 different browsers, and even on the Beta!

The movie poster; lists icons, and commentator avatar are all affected; but sometimes none are; or just some of those three. Any solutions?

It's happening to everyone - there's some stuff going on behind the scenes, and they're aware of the issue and will get it fixed soon. Basically, your option is to be patient right now. ;)

Movies added 5 months ago are still not fully searchable? What's going on? Is this a temporary bug?

For example, when I paste this in search, I see the title being offered, but clicking Enter shows nothing

It doesn't seem to be on iCM at all. I just added it to the queue again. Let's see what happens.
