This is completely accurate. I had problems adding a film to my watchlist (website stalling, hourglass icons), then at 11:39pm (EST), it suddenly worked perfectly.
That sounds like the Catatonia Hour I've reported during the 8pm hour Pacific Time. So something is happening in the Netherlands during the 5am hour.

Must be the Russians. :ph43r:

On my side of the world, the dead time is ~12 noon. Usually I am at work at that time during the week, so it doesn't often affect me, but when it does:

Yeah it's about 9-11 PM for me - can't check, favorite or dislike anything. Irritating because I'm usually trying to do just that in those moments.

Well, it's what I've noticed and posted about repeatedly here and on the official forum, but no response.

As for timing, it always seems to be within the 20:00 hour Pacific Time (West Coast of North America), which makes it 05:00 in the Netherlands or 03:00 UTC. I'm not going to try and convert that for every known (and unknown) time zone, but timeanddate.com has a converter tool that can assist.

I haven't noticed the bug much in the last couple of weeks, but that's only because I've been doing something else at that time of day now that it's light so much later.

This is interesting, because I recently complained to someone about having trouble using the site and he replied something along the lines of "Yeah, it's always messed up during this hour." And yes, it was around 8pm-9pm PST. And then I noticed the same problem a few times since then.

yes, sure is and they both seem to point to the same IMDb tt number so I've reported the duplicate on the Beta and this one should be merged into the correct file. Not sure if that happens automagically or if human intervention is needed.

edit: what's kinda doubly strange is how the IMDb lists are all attached to the duplicate - wonder if the IMDb update process might have caused that. Otherwise, it's really one of the strangest things I've seen as of yet.

Yep, it's a bug. Thankfully only affecting Inception for now and not others. It's an issue with https. I've flagged it to Marijn and PA so hopefully one of them knows how to fix it before it spreads to other films.

Inception has been fixed.

The Shurik issue is unrelated and not a bug.

If I check out a movie which more than 25 of my iCM friends have seen, I cannot view the entire list. Let's take The Shawshank Redemption as an example. When I click on 'see more friends' (bottom left), a list appears of the 25 most recent friends to check the movie. It's impossible to go to the next page.

Huh, you're right. I never noticed that before.

I'll flag it to Marijn, but I imagine it will be low priority to fix. I don't even see that functionality on the beta yet, just listing the 6 most recent friends.

Good catch (however you discovered that).
Although your wording maybe is faulty? I can view page 2, it's just that the result is exactly the same as the first page. Odd.

(47 of my 49 friends have seen this film. Oh.)

Nah, although it says 'page 2' at the top, I'm still looking at page 1 and items 1-25. Page 2 is simply inaccessible.

It looks like we use different phrasing but mean the same.

I click on page two. It loads a new page. The URL in the header refers to "page 2", the top of the list says "page 2", and, very important, the bottom shows:
Showing items 26 – 47 of 47
.. but, as I pointed out, the content is just the the same like for page 1, so, yeah, in fact I am looking at items 1-25, again, too.

Whether that makes the page inaccessible or the results screwed up may be a definition issue / technical detail. Good thing we have many web xperts and IT crowd guys among us.

I noticed that the "we're doing maintenance page" contains helpful links for webpages to check out while waiting.

One of them is the unofficial ICMovies forum, which I though was here, but it goes to here which I guess is an older version?

Could probably use updating.

Glitch still not fixed. Unofficial lists not being tallied for many, many films.
Well, now the problem is REALLY bad. Now about 82% of ICM items are listed as being on zero lists (zero official, zero unofficial).

And above I said 1,200 of my checks were said to be on zero lists...now over 1,700 are.
The problem is still happening, though now my tally of "zero list" films is down to 1,229 again.
Hey, after months, it seems like the bug is finally fixed! With films being wrongly said to be on 0 lists (including unofficial lists).

My tally of personally checked movies on zero lists went from over 1200 back to under 400.
