The list where you rank closest to your overall rank

My rank for the "European Film Award - Best Film" list is the same as my overall rank. So, I guess that's my most "average" list.

You?

Cool thread idea! I'm #1932 on Grindhouse Cinema Database, with 16/100. I'll enjoy earning the platinum on that list eventually.

Since none of my current list rankings is the same, and since I'm just waiting to drop a slot, I'll go with Cinema Tropical's Best Latin American Films 2000-2009

SInce my rank is quite low compared to most here (#3533 currently), it changes a lot, so I have checked this a few times. Looks like the closest right now is IMDb's 1910s Top 50, where I'm 3534th with... 1 film seen.

And my median list is either the Yle News Finnish List (#2250) or the Total "Films You've Never Seen" list (#2251).

I'm currently ranked at #156 -- and I am (exactly) rank #156 for:

If we call this my mean/average, it means that there are only mere 24 lists on which I am "above average".

Nice :)

Overall rank: #333
Also #333 on BBC's The 21st Century's 100 Greatest Films @92/102

Suits me, too. I'm next closest to AV's New Cult Canon at #335, a list which used to perfect for me. Then my two other closest lists are 'Greatest Films Directed by Women' and 'Best Argentinian Film' (?lolwtf), two I really don't care about. :ph43r:

Somewhat similar for me. The list where I rank closest to my overall rank is only the 22nd list. So I score "above average" on only 21 lists.

Overall rank: #39
Closest list-rank: #36 - Gouden Kalf Award - Best Dutch Film
Suits me......

This is turning into something of a kinophile Rorschach test. Or birth sign. Or personality typing. Etc.

May I only not bring disgrace to those filmmakers from Latin America!

i dont even no my current rank...

Guide to African Cinema - 62

as for the overall ranking, it's still pretty boring even if we continue to count Sinapsis.
my highest ranked list where I'm not tied for #1 is ICM Forum's 500<400's #8
it'll be a while before i can get back into completing that list again

Plz reserve the talks of averages for the Median Ranked List thread.
