Your first-year checks

#1

Post by Ebbywebby » September 15th, 2020, 1:19 am

I was curious to see my initial checking pattern upon joining ICM. So, I looked at my first year of checking. Examine your own history, see what happens and share some boring data just like I did. Of course, this question doesn't apply if you just imported your initial checks from IMDb.

So it looks like I took about nine and a half months to run out of easy "catch-up" checks. Which is mainly what I was curious about.

SpoilerShow
2010
12/5: 618 checks
12/6: 4

...then no checks for over three months...

2011
3/16: 66 checks
4/26: 12
4/27: 4
5/17: 536
5/20: 128
5/21: 108
5/25: 2
5/29: 2
5/31: 1
6/2: 1
6/8: 65
6/18: 1
6/19: 22
6/26: 3
6/27: 1
6/28: 1
7/15: 1
7/29: 1
8/4: 1
8/6: 1
8/12: 1
8/14: 1
8/15: 2
8/16: 2
8/18: 3
8/22: 1
8/25: 5
8/26: 9
9/3: 121
9/4: 36
9/6: 55
9/7: 105
9/8: 50
9/9: 18
9/10: 32
9/11: 47
9/12: 13
9/13: 74
9/14: 58
9/15: 100
9/16: 26
9/17: 60
9/18: 2
9/19: 4
9/20: 3
9/21: 50
9/22: 2
9/23: 1
9/24: 7
9/25: 27
9/26: 4
9/27: 4
9/28: 12

From 9/29 through 12/5/2011, it's just five checks at most from there on. And usually one or two. So, I'm generally checking fresh viewings by then.

How are you finding that with dates? I'm too lazy to dig deep on this...

For me, it took me about a month and a half. Joined ICM on April 8 2016, set up my spreadsheet to track stats (which I waited to do until I had gone through the lists well enough). After that, it was (mostly) just checking as I was watching.

I did most of my initial checking while pooping. Pull up a list, browse through it. Passed the time.

Heh. I spent a month consulting my memory and sundry lists etc. To figure out what I had seen in the previous 75 years. Looks like that took up 103 pages (close to 2600 checks), after which I started with stuff (mostly shorts) on youtube and whatever NF DVDs I was getting at the time (June 2011).
:run: STILL the Gaffer!
