1000<400 - 2018 edition - now available as a checkable list!

This is something that I have wanted to work on for a while and since we have not been able to contact lampa to update the 2017 version, and because I have a bit of spare time on my hands at the moment, I thought that I might as well do it myself:

https://www.icheckmovies.com/lists/icm+ ... 2018/sol-/

Let me know if there are any mistakes, errors, etc. Enjoy!

No problem. I'll be relying on this list (or at least the valid films in it) when it comes to the <400 Challenge in August - and I am sure that it will help me plan my viewings for the other Official Challenges before the September update.

Did you do this manually in some way? Sounds like it judging on your OP. I would have asked the host for the spreadsheet of the results and in that spreadsheet there are all the IMDb-urls, so you won't make any mistakes.

Yes. I first exported then imported the current 500<400. Afterwards, I went through the results threads and added the remaining titles one by one.

I don't think this will be so much of a problem if I do a 2019 version of the list this year. If I go ahead with that, I'll add the films in real time so that we can check the accuracy as we go along - as well as see the list in progress as it develops.

Would you be making a modification to the existing list, or creating a new one? I think trying to live modify the 2018 list as 2019 results come out would be problematic, as some movies will move up or down in rankings, while others drop off and some are added. What is very likely to happen if you do that is you'll get several movies that show up in two different ranks in the list as it counts down.

I will be creating a new list for 2019.

The plan is to leave the 2018 version permanently on iCM as a reference point.

If no one else plans to update for 2019 and I can get the spreadsheet, I'll do it. This was a really useful list.

I was planning to do the 2019 list again and update it in "real time" (start with the 500 in the official list, and add to it in stages as Peaceful reveals the movies in the second half of the list)... but I guess I don't mind if you'd prefer to do this instead.

either way - just want to be sure it's available - I'm trying to think of a way I can support you at, but since it's just building the list by copying URLs, there isn't much to it. I take it you'll do a new list and keep the 2018? Or are you just planning to update that one?

sounds good to me - let me know if there is any way I can help, okay? Maybe proof read the list? I'm assuming that you'll just download the data from 500<400 and start the new list with that data then add the other titles as the are revealed by PA.

Yes, that's what I'm planning to do. Thanks for the offer to help. Double-checking the list as I add to it (once I initiate it) would be great.

Will someone new watch "Dog's Dialogue" or "Kameradschaft" already? They've been stuck at 399 checks for 2-3 weeks now. :)
