Preview for tomorrow:

Gain S&S 2012 Poll: Bronze
Updated IMDB 250: Silver (was Gold)

That's twice India has nailed my gold this year. Couldn't they ballot stuff The Chess Players instead? Do patriots only like crap?

I neither worry much about the "awards" nor work on lists just for the sake of completing them, but I finally hit the 50% threshold on the Jonathan Rosenbaum list today, and I'm feeling quite pleased. A quick scan tells me I've checked off 33 films from the list during 2016, including An Actor's Revenge (1963), Chronicle of a Summer (1961), Foreign Correspondent (1940), Ice (1970) and Suspicion (1941) just this month.

I thought I always tried to keep platinum on that list, but I never saw "Eu Não Quero Voltar Sozinho" before. Maybe I missed it. Maybe it was previously on the list before I joined iCM.

With all the IMDB changes, I've gained a Bronze Award for the 1930s but had my Silver Award for Independent downgraded to Bronze. I'm now much closer to awards for Drama (Gold) and the 2000s (Silver), but I'm no longer close for Film Noir.

So, I'm about the same.

I was afraid there would be a ton of new Indian movies when ICM got the IMDB lists updated. :p

The bottom 10 or so films are all bunched up and it has the least votes. The lower third of that list is very unstable, and the fewer votes the more unstable a film is. I wouldn't be surprised to see it gone in a month.

Mostly I had to do some refiguring for the Film for each list challenge because several that I was planning to watch for IMDb lists dropped off. I'm treating that challenge like a list - might settle for a "bronze" (films on half the lists) or whatever.

The next ones coming up to the vote limit are Wild and Wooly, and Tillie wakes Up. Everything else is at least 50 IMDb votes away or has a too low rating. http://www.imdb.com/search/title?releas ... esc&page=1 The vote limit is 400 imdb votes.
I don't see any Talmadge on the horizon.
You should be eager to watch it anyway, in your quest to watch every film available, though.

While I prefer the French serial of the 1910s, Perils of Pauline is probable the American serial from that decade with the most lasting appeal. You won't be sorry to give it all a try.

At least I got both Wild and Wooly, and Tillie wakes Up covered. Oh, I will watch A Pair of Silk Stockings (1918) if it ever comes my way. I actually like Constance Talmadge, so it won't be as big a let down Norma's films often are.

Best Of Rotten Tomatoes (platinum, was gold)
Film-noir (platinum, was gold)
History (platinum, was gold)
Music (platinum, was gold)
Shorts (platinum, was gold)
Sport (silver, was bronze)

Regained all my losses from the IMDb list updates. And went from 99 to 100 with the Rotten Tomato list update.

Saw Evangeline 2.0 to get platinum in Action. Before I received it Serenity got added making me lose it. Saw that one too and received the Platinum today. 3rd ever platinum :D
1 movie left on both 2010s and Drama, though drama has Like Stars on Earth, which I do not want to see at all.

Got only my second silver yesterday in MovieSense 101. And next update will get me a bronze on the A.V. Club - The Best Films of the '00's list, which will be my 20th award. Glad I finally got up into the 20s for number of awards.

I had a good day yesterday. I got four new awards, bringing my total from 22 to 26 awards. All bronze, I got the following:

- AFI... 100 Cheers
- 100 Must-see Films of the 20th Cent.
- Empire 500 (which also happens to be the largest list for which I have an award)
- Fantasy (though I expect to lose this)

Have they been releasing new sets lately?

“Then the righteous will answer him, ‘Lord, when did we see you hungry and feed you, or thirsty and give you something to drink? When did we see you a stranger and invite you in, or needing clothes and clothe you? When did we see you sick or in prison and go to visit you?’
“The King will reply, ‘Truly I tell you, whatever you did for one of the least of these brothers and sisters of mine, you did for me.’ (Matthew 25:37-40)
