My most likely path to get there probably would be:
Love Exposure
I'm a Cyborg But That's OK
Innocence
The Triplets of Belleville
Dellamorte Dellamore
Wool 100%
Maelstrom
Indecent Desires
Surprised you haven't seen Triplets. Very likable flick.
Right, I know. I've seen much more obscure films from that list, yet somehow have missed Triplets. I wasn't too interested in seeing it for awhile, but then I saw The Illusionist and....
You know for some random reason, I've been 1 away from Platinum on Certified Weird for like a year with Maelstrom being the only movie I haven't watched on it yet. I honestly don't know why I haven't either. I just keep forgetting about it to be honest.

One down...I watched Indecent Desires on the mysterious "noodlemagazine" site last night. Surprisingly well directed and scored and, wow, the lead actress had some body. I know Doris Wishman has a reputation as an unlikely auteur, but I've only seen two of her films. Oh, and I also fixed one of her films' ICM pages where she was only credited under the pseudonym Anthony Brooks. I fix this kind of stuff all the time, but people probably just think it happens automatically.

It's a wonderful service for obscure films, but any time I search for something and they don't have it, all the results are inevitably ass-fucking. So much ass-fucking.

Yeah you can say that again.
By the way, I'm not able to rip the files from the Noodlelinks via Jdownloader, which I usually prefer (I do the same for YT, Vimeo, Archive etc.); any ideas / workaround on that?

I went off the plan, checkwhored and just watched the shortest available film: "Final Flesh." I don't even know how to review that one. Wow.

Six to go. I downloaded "Cyborg" back in January, so that would be an easy one. And y'know, there's a pretty good chance that I saw "Nothing But Trouble" back in olden days (I'm sure I saw at least SOME of it), but it's one of those films I have resisted checking.

The shortest ones left are "Idiots & Angels" and "Trash Humpers," but I don't like Bill Plympton and I don't like Harmony Korine.

Trash Humpers is fucking horrible. One of the most gratingly obnoxious movies I've ever seen.

I recommend going the opposite route. Just hunker down and watch the four hours of awesomeness that is Love Exposure.

PS I started and couldn't bear "Goodbye Uncle Tom" and "Urusei Yatsura 2: Beautiful Dreamer," so those options are out.

I don't think there are more than three or four films ever that I put in my watchlist and then couldn't stand to finish. And "Goodbye Uncle Tom" is one of them. "The Apple Game" (Chytilova) is the only other example I can recall, at the moment. Only 39 ICM users have stuck through that one.

Beware - you might arouse his curiosity ..

I think it was a rather cool example of unwatchable bullshit. One of maybe 3 movies in my adult life that I turned off after less than 10 minutes because I realized I am not in the mood to put myself through that.
With Ebby's thousands of films seen, why not add just that short little one which is so notorious ..

Man, Goodbye Uncle Tom is a vile movie...

Dunno why you couldn't bear Urusei Yarsura 2. It's a pretty clever, fun little movie.

Also I haven't seen The Apple Game but I did like her other film Daisies.

Well...at first, I thought I was going to really love it. That opening nightclub scene was fantastic. But my enjoyment seeped away, the longer the film went on. It just wallowed in the grotesque for its own sake too much. I really started sighing about the point when the "frog stew" entered the story. Also, the bicyclist boy was a total cypher who just never developed into a human character. I felt nothing for him.

Five more films for my "366 Weird" Gold.

Hm .. I also have just about a bronze on that list. And animated short films really are the single type of shorts that interest me. List must have gotten official when I got out of the loop / ICM / stopped watching films. Could be a fun, rewarding platinum project someday

Back down to 54 awards. Lost the damn IMDB Mystery bronze. Those lists are so fickle. At least the two films that entered the list are classics and not random bullshit.

Yup, there has been an exceptional shakeup for some of the IMDb lists, it's not something to happen monthly or so. Once you've settled on silver or gold on those (or even platinum), they're quite stable actually, especially the 1920s-1960s and Noir.
