It can be nice so I could see a progress (or not... ).

By official toplists :
1. Lat sau san taam (1992) - 12 lists
2. Die Abenteuer des Prinzen Achmed (1926) - 11 lists
3. Le doulos (1962) - 11 lists
4. Kung fu (2004) - 11 lists
5. Kurutta ippêji (1926) - 11 lists

By favourites :
1. (500) Days of Summer (2009)
2. In Bruges (2008)
3. Moon (2009)
4. Fantastic Mr. Fox (2009)
5. Love Actually (2003)

By checks :
1. A Bug's Life (1998)
2. Cast Away (2000)
3. Cars (2006)
4. Tarzan (1999)
5. The Da Vinci Code (2006)

By dislikes :
1. Transformers: Revenge of the Fallen (2009)
2. The Last Airbender (2010)
3. The Twilight Saga: Eclipse (2010)
4. The Da Vinci Code (2006)
5. Ghost Rider (2007)

Well, that was interesting, even if for the "by checks" and "by dislikes" categories, I'm in no hurry to see those films :whistling:
But I planned to watch movies on 9+ lists this year, 74 to be exact.

Maybe two of the coolest silent films, and both from 1926! Easy to fix.

I don't know. Is there any Anime that actually looks good in terms of style? I have not seen much, but no screen-shots have enticed me to explore further.

Not a lot of change in nearly two years, partly because I usually watch films using a randomizer (some from lists, some not). I look forward to films like Roma (2018), La vie d'Adèle, and Call Me by Your Name; their number in the lottery just hasn't turned up yet.

Official top lists -- I am STILL saving #1, 3, and 5 until special occasions -- I've held back for years. If you leave those three out, the next three are Call Me by Your Name, Ford v Ferrari, and Klaus.

After 15 months I would have thought I'd done better, but it seems not by much. Last major film was Silence of the Lambs about a month ago. Despite the fact that I've put most of these off for way too long, I did rather enjoy all five that I saw since the last update.

Top 10 unseen films by # of official toplists

Most favourited adds Léon, which I plan to watch soon.
Most # of Personal Top Lists adds Goodfellas, The Godfather: Part II, and Il buono, il brutto, il cattivo.
I thought I'd posted here more recently, but apparently not. Surprised it's been 3.5 years. Managed to catch quite a few of these biggies in the meantime, and I even enjoyed some of them. Of the original top ten, only The Godfather and remain unseen.

Actually made some headway these last 15 months. Been trying to focus on Films on 20+ lists, without specifically focusing on these films above. The six films I saw were all pretty good (8.2, 8.0, 8.0, 8.0, 7.6, 7.6), with Inglourious Basterds being the one I was surprised I liked the most.

The Simpsons Movie 2007, in 3 top lists
Kick-Ass 2010, in 1 top list

For the first time, Most Favorited is different from the first two lists, so might as well list it separately now.

*Twelve Monkeys 1995— a.k.a. 12 Monkeys, in 14 top lists

Some new films popping up, which is nice. Will likely try and finally watch Raging Bull for the 1980 poll this month. Finally starting to see more than just "manly men's" films (i.e. violent crime and war films) in these lists, so maybe I'll start to make more rapid progress in this journey.

* I have a copy available to watch.

My current list:

1. Los Olvidados (1950) - 21 lists
2. High and Low (1963) - 14 lists
3. Brokeback Mountain (2005) - 13 lists
4. Casino (1995) - 13 lists
5. Songs from the Second Floor (2000) - 12 lists

I'll be watching Los Olvidados and Brokeback Mountain soon-ish and I really need to watch High and Low. After that Gravity, Loves of a Blonde and Twelve Years a Slave will enter the list.
Looks like it's been a long time since I updated the list as well. Not that a lot has changed:

High and Low (1963) - 13 lists
Casino (1995) - 12 lists
Songs from the Second Floor (2000) - 12 lists
Before Sunrise (1995) - 11 lists
Before Sunset (2004) - 11 lists

I've promised to watch High and Low several times and I will. I'm going to start working on Kurosawa's filmography, and I'm intending on doing it chronologically, so it may be a while before I get around to 1963.
Another year gone and the list has (for once!) changed somewhat:

1. Cache (2005)- 13 lists
2. Songs from the Second Floor (2000)- 13 lists
3. The Revenant (2015) - 12 lists
4. Lagaan (2001) - 11 lists
5. Mad Max: Fury Road (2015) - 11 lists.

Unchecked movies on 10+ lists: 11

6. Days of Being Wild
7. Happy Together
8. Dah
9. Time of the Gypsies
10. A Nos Amours
11. Salesman
So... Almost 5 years later:

1. Time of the Gypsies (1988) - 11 lists
2. Portrait of a Lady on Fire (2019) - 11 lists
3. The Lovers on the Bridge (1991) - 10 lists
4. Police Story (1985) - 10 lists
5. Mephisto (1981) - 10 lists

Unchecked movies on 10+ lists: 8

6. The Death of Mr. Lazarescu (2005)
7. The Passenger (1975)
8. A Better Tomorrow (1986)

As more and more lists are adopted, some movies get a high list count and I don't seem to make too much progress on that front. At least the names are new.

New update. Saw Sin City and Snatch. Snatch was a huge disappointment, but I honestly couldn't concentrate very well on the movie. Sin City was more my cup of tea, and end up being better than I expected.

Official Top Lists
1. Lawrence of Arabia (1962)
2. Casablanca (1942)
3. Citizen Kane (1941)
4. Singin' in the Rain (1952)

2. Monty Python and the Holy Grail (1975)
3. Ghostbusters (1984)
4. The Nightmare before Christmas (1993)
5. The Bourne Ultimatum (2007)

Well... They've been replaced with Casablanca (which is now both in 2 top 5's), Big Fish and The Bourne Ultimatum. To be honest, not looking forward to any of these specifically, as well as the ones that were already in those lists, but I'll check them eventually, or at least most of them.

I need to watch more Burton, and yes, perhaps I might like Big Fish, but I might end up not liking it. Casablanca, i have no idea what to expect from it, but i'll give it a watch soon. For the Bourne movies, i need to watch five movies in a row, and I wasn't too overly impressed by The Bourne Identity, and remember starting The Bourne Supremacy but not even finishing it. I'm just not into that kind of movie, but it's possible i might like them more next time. They just seem to be incredibly average.

TWBB seems to be a very difficult movie to understand, and previous tries of PTA didn't seem to be great. I don't think i've ever been able to finish a PTA movie, and i have at least tried two of them. It just completely not my cup of tea, but sure, perhaps my view might change. It just seems to be very tough watches, which I mostly avoid.

Ghostbusters seem to be silly, except for nostalgia for people who experienced the 80's. Monty Python is almost certainly not my cup of humor. Wizard of Oz, i don't know... i don't think anything attracts me at all. Nightmare before Christmas could be good, but i'm not a fan of christmas movies. Citizen Kane seems like a movie only cinephiles and lovers of classic cinema seems to enjoy. Lawrence of Arabia seems to be a historical epos, and so far i've enjoyed very few of them, most of them were incredibly long and boring, despite me loving history. Singin' in the Rain seems to be an old-fashioned musical classic, and i'm not a fan of musical movies (sorry), unless there's a certain take on it or it explores an interesting music genre, but given it's being produced in 1952 I doubt that strongly.

I think out of those movies, Double Indemnity and perhaps yes Casablanca might be the only two I will end up enjoying, although it's possible I won't like them either. A certain movie might surprise me, but i'm not looking forward to any of those, and some might potentially end up being a huge chore to do.

I think you specifically might like Big Fish :) One of my favorite films of his, rather unusual actually, and easily his best work since the mid-90s.

Scanning through the films you have marked as favorites on icm, I agree that your top 5s don't seem to overlap with a lot of your current favorites. Of the films listed, my guess is you'll appreciate There Will Be Blood, The Nightmare Before Christmas, and Big Fish the most. Less likely but still possible would be Double Indemnity and Casablanca, depending how you feel about film-noir and Golden Age Hollywood respectively.

Soo, there we go! 5 years since my last post on this, a timespan in which 4 years made for either no checks at all or only for new films (2016-2020) exclusively. As quite a few new official lists were adopted in between, I'm curious to see the results in comparison :)
First thing I notice though is a mistake: What I called the films with "most checks" in my 2015-post is identical with my current list of unchecked films with "most dislikes" - seems I mixed them up in that post. Meh! I would have loved to compare that. It's a sad reminder, on the other hand, that ICM very much obviously had its peak of active/new accounts in that time around 2010 until 2013 or so. Not only will no new film (post-2013) ever climb up to the "most checked films on ICM", it also seems to be impossible to collect more dislikes for any new film than those in the ICM-primetime had. And it's not as if there hasn't been complete and utter trash in the meantime. Sad, sad.
Official lists:
1. Shoah (17 lists)
2. Mon Oncle (16 lists)
3. A Brighter Summer Day (14 lists)
.. Killer of Sheep (14 lists)
.. Point Blank (14 lists)
.. Sholay (14 lists)
.. A Star is Born (14 lists)
.. A Touch of Zen (14 lists)
9. Atlantic City (13 lists) / La maman et la putain / Oktyabr etc.

Most checks:
1. Rush Hour 2
2. Mamma Mia!
3. Enchanted
4. The Proposal
5. Superman Returns

Most favorited: (without TV shows)
1. Labyrinth
2. Anastasia
3. The Hobbit 2 - The Desolation of Smaug
4. The Hitchhikers Guide to the Galaxy
5. Enchanted

Most dislikes:
(see 2015)

Analysis:
There hasn't been much movement in terms of lists for most of my former top omissions
That bunch of most favorited films looks more fun than the most checked. Maybe, someday, eventually ..

To put this into perspective: I'm ranked #338 overall and have now 101 titles left which are in 10(+) official lists.
8 months since my last roundup! I watched a few important noirs (which were mostly really good) and thus managed to bring down my titles with 10(+) official lists down to 91 coming from 101 - not too bad, because I know many of my gaps were on the BIFF Asian list ..
But the biggest changes took place in the most checked section, the one many choose to completely ignore. Well, I've been doing my homework at least there. :P

Official lists:
Shoah (17 lists)
A Brighter Summer Day (16 lists)
Mon Oncle (16 lists)
A Touch of Zen (15 lists)
Where is the Friend's House? (14 lists)
Killer of Sheep (14 lists)
Point Blank (14 lists)
8.-19. (13 lists): Atlantic City / Gleaners / Limelight etc.; going to watch Palm Beach Story not too late from now
20.+ (12 lists): Belle Noiseuse, Wooden Clogs, Now Voyager, Henry V, Tom Jones ...

Most checks:
1. The Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy
2. G.. Joe: The Rise of Cobra
3. Treasure Planet
4. Valentine's Day
5. Wild Hogs

Most favorited: (without TV shows)
1. The Full Monty
2. Treasure Planet
3. Super Troopers (?!)
4. Attack the Block
5. It's Kind of a Funny Story
6. Hedwig and the Angry Inch

lol I looked at page 2 and wondered how they changed so much

I might have an idea, lol. Hoping to tackle some of them during the silent challenge in a few months. I've watched plenty of silent (even watched a couple this month) but I much prefer the comedies to the dramas (in general, certainly exceptions) and the idea of a 3-5 hour silent drama always fills me with a bit of dread, lol. I'll get to them, eventually.
