So, who else is in the Top 500 on every single list?
This thread needs a poll.

I don't get it... You have over 35 thousand checks, and ranked 59th, yet only have 73 awards and have so few lists ranked in the top 500.Armoreska on Oct 9 2016, 03:13:04 AM wrote:No, def not me. I'm in top 500 on only 75/181 lists

I'm ranked nowhere near you, yet, have over 100 lists in the top 500, and 90 something awards.

116/181, I'm not even in the Top 1000 oESL Club. So, how does it feel being an elite member of that top 0.01%?
I'm only 2 lists away from entering the club, but I don't intend to work on either of the lists I'm under #500.
The ICM most checked and the All-time worldwide box office (though I got under 500 on this one) are filled with films of low interest.
I feel like watching the Da Vinci movies before trying to watch the upcoming Inferno, but I will give up if I don't like it... And this will not be sufficient to get me to the 500, so I'll live with it.
Maybe I'll watch Pocahontas sometime during an animation challenge...
Otherwise, it was one of my 2016 film-watching goal to get under 500 on all lists but for those two, and I reached it.

Pissing contest? Hmmmm, think that belongs elsewhere. Monty?
Wasn't my 'goal' at all here. Just thought it would be interesting to see who else is a member, wants to be, or is avoiding membership for reasons stated above.
Just a bit of fun. Though when I find other qualified members, we'll have to make up rules - maybe require the wearing of a fedora while watching Indiana Jones movies.
And, of course, there's always the 'new adoptions terror'! Will it kick members out of the club? (Or can members accept probationary status until they return to Top 500 on all lists?) We'll have to be supportive...
Oh, so much to worry about. We need club shirts... lol

Last time I looked it up: 91/181. But I'd like to get a top 500 ranking for most lists.
89/181
I mostly try for gold on lists I find really interesting, silver for the ones I find mildly interesting, bronze for the ones I feel I should really watch some more movies off. Don't care about the rest. Ranking mostly follow that pattern.

Even more than I expected. Since I joined iCM I have only "worked" on just a few big lists:
- 1001MYMSBYD
- TSPDT
- Rosenbaum
- Unesco
- By watching all FotWs and WCs I also worked on 500<400 quite a lot.
The rest of my progress is accidental......
......except for lots of shorts of course.

Maybe. It would mean getting out of my comfort-zone (whatever that is) to watch lots of mainstream and animated movies. Don't know if I'm up for it, but it's not a bad thing to do once in a while.Armoreska on Oct 9 2016, 07:58:10 AM wrote:You're pretty close. 148/181. TSZDT would be by far the hardest, though. 173 checks away. 2 Noir lists are 8 and 25 away. Box Office is 17. Action 12. 21 Century 40.
About half are 1-3 away, though.

11 lists not in top 500, not working on obscure countries lists, but also not that keen on Action films, so not in top 500 or horror so not for Zombie but around 750 for that

I don't see many recent films, especially the blockbusters, so I rank horribly on any list that features them. Also, I've been concentrating on just a dozen lists for a long time, so I didn't expect to do well, but I did better than expected: 102/181.

179/181, Bollywood and Turkey missing but everything else is top 300 and my goal is top 200 club. There are a few people in the top 100 club, and that is quite impressive to me.
176/181
The ones I need to work on (but am not interested in focusing on) are:
iCheckMovies - Most Checked
All-Time Worldwide Box office
Adventure
50 Greatest Sequels
2010s
Since 4/5 are temporary lists, I suppose the lists could change.

I'm working on getting top 500 on each list for my film goal this year (see the Personal Film Goals for 2016 thread for progress details) - just five lists to go, seven films in total to see, so I should be a card-carrying member of the club by December!

I'm top 500 in 36/181. I could probably increase that quickly by working through unchecked films sorted by most lists, but I'm busier focussing on a few individual lists for now.
My biggest deficit is with NYT's The Best 1,000 Movies Ever Made, where I need 220 checks to be in the top 500. Similar deficits for several of the top 1000 lists.
