450 people have platinum on Most Checked. That means only one unseen will do.
537 checks needed on Blockbusters.

Oh so 163/181. Didn't check which ones I'm missing. But I'm sure half of those will be so repellent I probably won't try to get this honor.

Damn the Mini-series. It's the only list I don't have a check on at the moment.

I don't think I'll ever be in the 500 club. There's too many lists I don't care enough about in my way. Although the masochist in me says "Go for it!"

This one's by far the shortest check on that list. There's some great stuff on the list but they're all so long.

Length is the major problem... When I get started on something like this, I have to see it through to the end, and with these, it'll pretty much take up an entire day.

I watched Berlin Alexanderplatz to get a check on it, and, it disappeared, so, that turned into a waste of a day.

Thanks for those. I'll definitely watch them, just to get off the "unranked."

Berlin Alexanderplatz should be back on it when the lists updates again. Also it's great and on a bunch of other lists, so not at all a waste of a day.

I might go for top 1000 in every list after I've finished some long-running challenges of mine (which might still take years). Top 500, probably not.

A ton of fun movies on Most Checked
but Space Jam and Ocean's 12 could be a pain to sit through for platinum
Wasn't a big fan of ocean 11, and I haven't heard great things about 12. At least most of the most checked are on the box office list as well.
If you didn't like Ocean's Eleven, might as well completely skip 12. It absolutely sucked in comparison.

For a long time I was satisfied to be in the top 1000 club, but lately I've been actually watching a movie from the list I'm ranked lowest in. Currently I'm in the Top 568 club, with 11 lists to go to make the Top 500 club.

2 of the lists are shorts list (Brief Encounters and Annecy festival), furthermore Czech, Portuguese, Bollywood, Turkey and Russia as country lists. The Badmovies list, Anthology film Archives and Ain't Nobody's Blues list and finally the iCM Forum's 500<400, but that might change with the new update (although i forgot to hand in my list this year).

Top 1: 30
Top 10: 31
Top 100: 66
Top 500: 170
Top 1000: 181
Top 10000: 181

It's been a year since this has been updated, and I was curious as to where I've improved on this, as it's been something I've for whatever reason been focusing on here of late. This is where I stood one year ago:

treadwaynathan 16(1) 17(10) 30(100) 112(500) 154(1000) 180(10000)

I didn't have any checks on Miniseries, although, the IMDb lists were broken at the time, and a couple I had seen popped back up when they were fixed. That accounted for the one that was over 10k. 5 lists have been adopted since then as well. I started out over 1000 on one of the lists, but, it's since been brought down below 500.

Anyhow, here's my standings for today:

1- 42 (All platinum)
10- 43
100- 55
250- 100
500- 157
1000- 172
(My lowest rank is at 2356-All time box-office)

So, I only have 14 more to get in the Top 1000 club! (Well, 13. I just checked my 8th mini-series, which will put me in the 900 range! I have a couple more checked out, just for good measure.)

I'm #14435 on the All-TIme Box Office list, so I don't anticipate breaking into this club anytime soon.

Heh. As one of the newest cinephiles to this forum, I always find it hilarious comparing my stats to some of y'all. My own personal top 500:

#1: Best Cartoons Ever (have to platinum it to make it)
#1: AFI's 100... Movies (have to platinum to make it)
#258: FESPACO (one check gets you to this rank)
#358: Anthology Film Archives (watched lots of shorts to improve my overall rank)

The rest of the stats:

1- 2
10- 2
100- 2
250- 2
500- 4
1000- 10
2500- 32
5000- 100
10000- 169
25000- 186 (Paste's Anime list is my lowest ranked at #21139)

2 of the lists are shorts list (Brief Encounters and Annecy festival), furthermore Czech, Portuguese, Bollywood, Turkey and Russia as country lists. The Badmovies list, Anthology film Archives and Ain't Nobody's Blues list and finally the iCM Forum's 500<400, but that might change with the new update (although i forgot to hand in my list this year).

Top 1: 30
Top 10: 31
Top 100: 66
Top 500: 170
Top 1000: 181
Top 10000: 181
I actually am in the top 250 club in general and try to keep it up. At the moment the only list below is the IMDb TV Mini-series list, where I dropped to 269 when Dr. Horrible's Sing-Along Blog dropped from that list. Will get back on the top 250 shortly I guess, when I find time to watch one of the those mini-series.

OK I'll play

Top 1: 8
Top 50: 16
Top 100: 40
Top 500: 146
Top 1000: 171

Not bad. As I've said elsewhere, I'll likely never deliberately work on the the All-Time WW Box Office or ICM Most Checked lists, and I'm currently at 8980 and 12703 on those respectively. And some of the IMDb lists where I have my worst rankings - 2000s, Documentary, Sport, etc, I probably will never work on either. Unlike many folks here I am not a masochist :o so I don't see the point of watching endless Ron Howard films, recent CG animation sequels, Michael Bay, etc, just to bump up my numbers. Seeing a few Dutch, Turkish, Brazilian and yes even Bollywood films so as to have at least slight understandings of more of the worlds cinematic traditions seems quite a bit more worthwhile to me, so I'd expect eventually to get into the top 500 or 1000 on a few more lists.
Here's to the fools who dream.

And I'm in the top 39000 of every lists. I should try to get in every top 10000, I only have 12 lists to go, including the box office and most checked sadly.
A year later, 40/186, including 5 platiniums.
I'm below 10 000 on 10 lists; worse rank is box office at #39354.

I'll play as well.

Top 1: 5
Top 50: 8
Top 100: 11
Top 500: 96
Top 1000: 145

So apparantly I suck. Rank in lists has never really been my focus, there's even two list I haven't seen any movies from. :ermm:

About half are 1-3 away, though.
Top 1 - 58 (was 45)
Top 10 - 61 (was 46)
Top 100 - 68 (was 51)
Top 500 - 179 (was 148)
Top 1000 - 186 (was 180)

I am writing this about 1-2 days early... TSZDT is currently at rank 1020, but since I'm only watching films on the list for this month... I'll be under 1000 before the weekend is over.

I have been actively working on getting all ranks under 500. Remaining: Action (-7), Bollywood (-3), LJ Russian (-6), Dutch 50 (-3), Amanda (-2), 250 Noir (-23), and TSZDT (-94).

All my lists are currently 275 or under ... but blockbuster season is only 6 weeks away and that will likely screw with the IMDb lists for a few months.

39/181

I don't work on lists -- only watch films based on whims -- so no surprise here.

1- 7
10- 7
100- 8
250- 29
500- 65
1000- 133
2500- 176
5000- 184
10000-186

I'm way far back, my median rank is 611.5 and many lists I have no easy access to movies. If anything I should work on movies with the most official checks, I still have 13 movies on more than 13 lists.
