Ok so let's start Monitoring my progress :
Top 1 - 17 (=)
Top 10 - 17 (=)
Top 100 - 26 (=)
Top 250 - 69 (=)
Top 500 - 131 (=)
Top 1000 - 170 (=)
+ 20 Lists above 1000 Including a 0 check one (Fespaco...)
I'll try to looks more Polish Martial Art Film to improve my ranks ,)
BTW is there an easy way to tell how many rank up on a list you would get watching a film ?
Amanda Award seems to be the most elusive from my point of view ... i'm rank 3300 with ... one film checked ,)
Maybe Fespaco is even more elitist ... haven't really tried to search for film on that list yet.
Amanda Award is slow at the beginning. You'll need to watch a handful to get under 1000, and then it gets easier. (There's a fairly strong Norweigan userbase on the site. Much like the Dutch representation.)
FESPACO is extremely easy to rank up. 1 probably gets you under 500, 2 definately would. This is actually fairly common with country and country specific awards lists (besides the Dutch list, and the aforementioned Amanda Award)
Easiest way to find how many points you'll jump by watching a film? On your progress page, click your user rank and it will take you directly to where you are ranked on that list. From there, it's just jumping ahead. When I do this, I'm usually looking with a goal in mind (How many do I need to see to reach x rank), and just go to the page that would have that rank on it. Otherwise, it's just trial and error, but, not too much, usually.
