I wonder what the deal is with this one. Obvious contradiction between 427 minutes and "Short." But IMDb doesn't even have a length posted. Was the film really this long? And if so, why is it tagged a Short?

https://beta.icheckmovies.com/movies?fi ... ction=desc

Actually, this whole page is FULL of films with the same three problems:

1) Long runtime listed, despite being a "Short."
2) ...but the runtime isn't listed on IMDb
3) Updating the film does nothing.

I think the next page of longest "Shorts" has the same problems.

I updated all the "Shorts" lasting over 45 minutes, and I think updating only affected about 10 of them. There are still almost 200 "Shorts" lasting over 45 minutes. And 130-something "Shorts" that last over *70* minutes.

Dupe is pending.

For the shorts, I think nothing can be done on icm until the issue is fixed on imdb: either a new runtime needs to be added or the short genre tag needs to be removed.

I don't understand why updating doesn't remove those runtimes. If IMDb has no runtime, why doesn't updating make ICM agree with IMDb's (lack of) runtime? I've seen other information -- especially AKA titles -- go blank after an update....

I think I figured out the problem. All these shorts with paradoxically long runtimes have bland titles that are shared with some OTHER movie that has the displayed length.

For example, the 1913 Napoleon short is wrongly listed as 240 minutes, but it is ABEL GANCE'S 1927 Napoleon that is 240 minutes.

I've fixed some of these short problems, though most can't be fixed without knowing the films' true runtimes. And since many of these are films are lost silents or mega-obscure DIY productions....

I don't understand enough about how the backend of icm works to give you an answer, sorry.

I suppose that's possible, but icm checks the data based on the tt id, not the title + year, so in theory that shouldn't be the case.

And I've fixed the dupes.

124, and I think that's as far as I can go with the runtime data I can find.

https://www.imdb.com/title/tt2433102/

I think this is a DVD featurette that lasts 25 or 26 minutes, but IMDb wrongly labels it 131 minutes because that's the length of the original "Savages" feature. I submitted a correction and it was rejected.

I could fix this runtime error, if I believe the guy who says the linked nine-minute video is the right short. Even though the title doesn't match. Do we believe him?

Oh, and this film has no IMDb page so it shouldn't even have a page.

Joseph Losey is the Director, but he was using the name Victor Hanbury. As he was banned from working in Hollywood but now it should be credited to Losey.
