On a more serious note, this is one of the few reasons I would ever feel jealous that I don't live in the States. Rani Radovi, Entuziazm, Oppression of Women..., Emperor Tomato Ketchup, Emitai, <--->, all on a cinema screen? That's fucking crazy.
I will actively not go to Emperor Ketchup I might picket in front of the theater with a Child Pornography sandwich board.

I will try to film Chinese Checkers.

Child Pornography: Exploiting and violating small children for the consumption of aroused adults. Not actors or acting, not simulated sexual acts, not protected from harm: real children, real violation, real horrors. I find it reprehensible of anyone to make that comparison, downplaying REAL child pornography.

In Emperor Tomato Ketchup the people are actors. The children are actors, with the consent of their parents. And they are protected from REAL harm, which happens in the REAL world, where it's REALLY FUCKING SERIOUS.

There's exactly two scenes in ETK with naked children:

Scene 1) A young boy kisses a naked woman's body. The woman is a Terayama regular who in his other films plays the role of the woman who takes the young man's virginity.

Scene 2) A young naked boy is in bed with three or four naked women. They fool around in a playful non-serious manner for a while, and that's it.

Neither scene is arousing, nor is anyone violated.

In Japan child nudity is also viewed very differently from the West. In Japan it's completely normal to show naked children on television in the country's most popular comedy show sitting on an adult's face.

By the way, Kaneto Shindo, who's hailed as a Japanese great here, directed a film called Tree Without Leaves (1986) that has two scenes that are both FAR WORSE than either of those scenes. I won't spoil it, but damn, Nobuko Otowa (Onibaba, The Naked Island, Kuroneko) really enjoys sucking young boys' dicks with a smile on her face.

Yeah because kids really know the difference between right or wrong. Shame on the parents, I don't give a shit if the parents are ok and how they feel in Japan. It's just wrong.

I'm currently watching For Example (A Critique of Never) and it might be the worst film ever made. No exaggeration.

It's not really the problem, but I'll try and find a good one. It's not really gross, it's just insanely bad.

IMDB shows length of 120 minutes - this video is 99 minutes. Not sure if this version is edited or not?

Why is that 3 hours long? The last hour is some other program.
Here's a much better quality link of the film.

So, as promised many moons ago, I'm in a position to get hold of Damon the Mower if it's in Newcastle, NSW as someone said. I can only find a library record of it in Berkeley and NY though. Can anyone point me to the library where it might be so I can contact them?

According to Worldcat.org it's in University of Technology, Sydney and Monash University Library, Clayton, VI. Just in case this info is helpful in some way.

Yeah, thanks, that's what I'd found too. UTS is near me, and according to that site it's available for public use. Don't know when I'll be down there yet though.
