Cremaster 1: watched June, 2014
Cremaster 2: watched February, 2017
Cremaster 3: watched April, 2020
Cremaster 4: watched July, 2014
Cremaster 5: watched May, 2015

It took me almost six years to get through that damn thing. Would have taken much less time if I had *enjoyed* it....

I can understand the inclusion of the cycle as a single check on the official lists and how the logic is comparable to that of Histoires du Cinéma (bar the difference of one being a cycle of films while the other is a video project) and Dog Star Man. Since it follows the same format, will you be doing the same with the Up series?

:imdb: lists aren't updating, as well ICM favorites and most checked. What seems to be the problem?
Does Marijn know about this?

Yes. He's looking into it :) Apparently imdb changed some things again, which is affecting the lists from updating. Don't know about the icm ones, though.

Along those lines, when was the last time the pool of films was updated for the IMDb lists? Mostly curious because of The Last Dance: https://www.imdb.com/title/tt8420184/. I'd expect to see it near the top of either Doc or Mini-Series (not sure which) whenever it's added to the pool.

And by some extent, to the Sports list.. but I never understood why Documentaries cannot spread to other genres like Animation..

The Last Dance would be eligible for the mini-series list, but not the doc list. It only has 215 checks at the moment; it needs to hit 400 before it will be eligible for the mini-series toplist. PA keeps the imdb lists that the filters are based on up-to-date on a regular basis (about once a month), so once TLD hits 400 checks, expect it to show up in the mini-series list unless it's imdb rating drops from 9.3 to 8.5.

Because that's the way it was done by imdb when they had the genre lists? If my memory serves right, they've always excluded documentaries and shorts from the other genre lists, and restrict those to theatrical feature-length narrative films. I believe this mirrors the restrictions they have for their Top 250 list.

Thanks Fergenaprido. Curious why Mini Series and not Doc? What's the difference there, given that OJ Made in America is on the Doc list (and not Mini Series). And both OJ and MJ are multi-part docu-series aired on ESPN. Why would one be a Doc and the other be a Mini-Series?

Maybe O.J.: Made in America made the cut for the Doc list because it did get a (very limited) theatrical release, while The Last Dance didn’t? If being theatrically released is a necessity as Ferg seemed to allude to.

Was there an important update I missed?

Right now, I'm listed in the rankings with 5,540 checks. But if I sort my checks by # official lists, this indicates I actually have only 5,523!

So the Criterion list was updated, but the update didn't include the addition of the new World Cinema Project titles. Can these be added?

FOK was just updated.
Who did it. I actually organized it, but i messed up heavily, because of a broken laptop... It still isn't fixed. It's driving me crazy literally, but i'm glad it is updated. I just felt insanely guilty about what happened to the fok! top 250. If i knew, it would take so long, i just would have lent someone's else's laptop.

I think Gorro collected the lists from the FOK-thread and calculated the results.

They were added later and are in the list now
