If you mean the making the lists not bounce around, that was fixed like a month ago. If you mean adding films that passed 400/1500 checks I do it about once a month. I'll actually be doing the next update later today, so prepare to see Endgame show up on a bunch of lists.

eh, whachagunnado? It's IMDb after all and the fanboys will try to get it on as many genres as possible, though I don't get why. Just a bit of the ole tug-a-war at the Big I. :(

I refuse to pay see any superhero trash after the monstrosity that was Infinity War so I will just miss my platinums for now. My boyfriend wants to see it because of it’s success — despite having not seen the rest of the series or most of the individual films - but I refuse to go.

No point in watching it unless you have seen Infinity War, also therer are some clear references to The Avengers, Doctor Strange, Guardians of the Galaxy, Captain America: Civil War, Thor: The Dark World that you should see to get all of it. And Captain Marvel just to explain who she is.

Before Infinity War you should have seen Guaridans of the Galaxy Part II, Thor: Ragnarok, Avengers: Age of Ultron.

And as this is very much a film series that handles Iron Man's PTSD you should have seen Iron Man, Iron Man 3 and Spider-Man: Homecoming

So 13 movies you should have seen before Endgame, so you wont get confused. So at least there is a few that can be skipped

Have seen them all I believe - if they've shown up on Box Office, I've seen them. However, I've failed to study them. Surely I won't care that I don't understand all the finer points, whatever they might be. :P

no one ever said you did - so either you're paid to go and we know what that makes you (cough) or an easy date? B) That's the best I can think of. An as I updated my spreadsheet this morning I saw you with your 50 checks sitting there above me all nice and pretty; but given the alphabet, that's to be expected, no?

You can watch the Avengers series as a stand-alone series within the MCU universe. I've seen all the MCU films but never remembered enough from previous entries to benefit much from it. The dramatic beats are very simple and predictable though, so you're not really missing much and what you miss is very easy to fill in.

Only two? Weird. Both look pretty good though, especially Behind Green Lights, and it's only an hour.

+7. 392 to 399. But, this was intentional. I watched a few previously unofficial Zombies when she shared the sneak peak version. Overall, I also gain a few official checks. I hadn't seen any of the ones losing official status.

I gained five: 417 to 422. I doubt I'll ever get a Bronze on this list because I'm not interested enough but, damn, there is no other list where I've left more "Well, I MIGHT have casually seen this years ago" films unchecked. So frustrating. If I gave myself the benefit of the doubt on "everything," I could check about 90 more films. All the trashy '80s horror that I probably watched decades ago...the '60s Corman/Poe films that I mix up...which Friday 13th's and Nightmare on Elm Streets have I seen? <blank look> But I think I'm going to belatedly give myself "Deadly Friend."

[Edit: OK, I'm going to give myself "The Believers" too.]

518->517 Though I see I haven checked Buffy which I definitely have seen, so it should be even. I don't know how I don't have it checked since I'm pretty sure I saw it after I started tracking what I watched.

Went down from 638 to 636 checks on TSZDT and fell exactly two ranks too - from #118 to #120. Looks like I'll never catch up to peeptoad. :(

No real chance for a Silver award this year, but if there's limited movement, I think that a Silver would be possible in two Octobers time. :shifty:

The Flavor of Green Tea over Rice
The Inland Sea
Where Is the Friend's Home?
And Life Goes On (a.k.a. Life and Nothing More)
Through the Olive Trees

New on Criterion? I have ZERO knowledge of The Inland Sea...not even the title rings a bell.

I don't know, I think we've talked about it before but never came to a conclusion. I don't know that I have an opinion, both options seem reasonable.
