Thanks, knaldskalle. I made a post about it on the ICM-page. ElTejon asked one of us two to clearify about that clip.

I mentioned trying to obtain a copy of Suzanne, Suzanne (1982) from a library near me on VHS in the all shorts thread. If I able to take it home on loan (it is 90 minutes away), I plan on recording it on a DVD. I'm also in talks about doing an inter library loan for Please Don't Bury Me Alive! (1976), Heretic (1931), Frontier (1936) and Unmasked (1917) along with a few other rare shorts from other lists. I'll add Suzanne, Suzanne to that loan list if I can't take it home. The only hiccup I ran into was none of the public libraries in the cities in my surrounding area will perform any ILL's for A/V material, only printed material. Even my alma mater won't allow me as an alumni to do ILL's. However, I have a friend who is a current student there and will do it for me. I just have to wait until the new semester starts after the 1st of the year. If I'm able to get these I will record them all on DVD. By the way, the other shorts I'm looking into getting are Corrida Interdite (1959), Imagining October (1984) and Las Callampas (1958).

So did anyone here find the 29 new entries by Solomon Sir Jones enjoyable? Or was it all a slog to get through?

Well, what did I expect. A few were 2/10 so that's a dislike on iCM too yes.

The LoC has Verbena trágica (1938) (6 checks on ICM) streaming on their website.

The only problem: I can't get the thing to play. You also have some download options that might work as well (since I can't get it to play, I can't tell if its the full thing or not). But in any case - this is finally a promising lead for watching this film easily.

The LoC also has a selection of other films from the NFR available for streaming. I haven't looked through everything, is there anything on there that's also rare / not easily available outside of torrents / cross country archive journeys? Here's the link: https://www.loc.gov/collections/selecti ... list&c=150

just tried and also received the same error - also tried to download without success, so yeah, trying again in a day or two might help.

Both?

I mean, nothing happened - it was roughly the same level of plot as the Lumiere shorts. But it was really interesting to see the films, and they helped set US Black culture in a better historical context for me. Looking back, I enjoyed watching them as a way to learn, but I wasn't exactly hooting and hollering about my love for them.

Ugh. Verbena Tragica finally worked, but, it doesn't have subtitles. (It's also posted on their youtube channel as well.)

Lady Day at Emerson's Bar & Grill (2016) would be a good film to add to the list. Guess I have to wait 9 years to add it, though. In the meantime, I will campaign for other films to get added. Can only recommend 50 titles per year. LOL.

Did nobody try to add the missing titles to IMDb yet? Last year it was done before anyone on this forum got the chance to start adding.

Don't they almost always accept on the same day lately? It just remains only a link for me for a few more days (leads to the usual page not exist error).

But wow not anymore, page loads today!

It doesn't come with subtitles, though, and is in Spanish. Likewise with the one on their website, if it ever does load.

I don't think it's available online, btw. :(

I just submitted With the Abraham Lincoln Brigade in Spain.

That YT link is only a three minute segment of the full eighteen minute film. I did some research and Orphan produced a DVD of the full film but apparently it cannot be sold. They will use it for exhibitions and viewings. People have asked the Abraham Lincoln Brigade Archives to put the entire film online but so far they have refused to do so. Here's an article verifying the run time, even though at first it states it is twenty minutes, then later saying eighteen: Henri Cartier-Bression's Spanish Civil War film reviewed

Thanks for finding that out, nymets. I guess I have to change it on IMDb.

Great news, the segment seemed really useless

I removed my check as well. Should I just delete my comment, or just leave it? If I delete it, someone else will probably just re-add it, and NYMets comment wouldn't make any sense.

Leave it. This way it informs people about the mistake.

Still not accepted. The addition of the title to IMDb was accepted within an hour, but changing the runtime takes this long?

My runtime updates never get accepted, idk what's up. Try submitting a new one rather and maybe deleting the other.

I've found it almost impossible to get changes accepted on IMDb unless I can point to multiple online sources that back up my information. Even then, I get tired of waiting/checking to see if the change is made to the db.

I do often add new information though and I try to use the limited tagging to say where that info comes from (US/DVD version, for example)

But if an added runtime falls within 10 percent of an existing runtime, my understanding is then the system automatically refuses it regardless of country tags and the like. They clearly want to move away from having the same runtime listed for every EU country, three for N America, some from Asia, etc. The first runtime submitted is assumed 'correct' and then they only want further information if the deviation is more than 10%.

Can't say I'm confident in IMDb's runtime information after going through my entire spreadsheet: there just isn't a way to provide speedy updates AND quality control on such a massive beast.
