It's telling me that it's still in Maintenance Mode.

Edit: and I notice the badges in the signatures here don't display either. :)

You've just received your first check freeze. You should be able to resume checking in a week.

Why the check freeze? What's up with that? :yucky:

Not sure if it's the same, related, or not, but I was having difficult getting checks to stick earlier in the day. Had to reload the page a couple of time before it worked.

I've noticed using icheckmovies.com with Firefox that if you leave the page up for awhile. Not sure how long, but over 20 minutes, you'll have to reload the page in order to check the movie. It's weird.

It's been like that for me on Firefox with IMDb and ICM for at least several years. Probably some security measure or something expiring somewhere. I wonder what exactly causes it though, these things are a nightmare to google. For an issue that old there must be a report about it on bugzilla.

I'm on Chrome for Windows and have the same issue with both iCM and IMDb thought the timeout for iCM is much shorter than IMDb. Since I like to bring up the page while watching films, I've just got in the habit of reloading the page before checking or rating. I also try to remember to make sure the update took though sometimes I'm in a hurry and then have to go through the hassle of downloading csv files, merging into an xls file, comparing, and updating. I've sorta got a system down to handle that now, but it's still a pain.

Don't be so quick to blame the websites though. My thinking is that when we request a page from either iCM or IMDb we are opening a channel - think of it as analogous to making a phone call. Would you leave the phone line open if nothing was happening for 10 minutes? a half hour? So it makes sense to me these connections go dead over time. Now that said, I'm no authority on webpages, Internet connexions, and databases (which is where all our checks and ratings sit) - I just play one in forums. See my shiny stethoscope and white coat? (and lets not forget the nice padded walls :teehee: )

If I had to guess it's an expiring CSRF token: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Cross-sit ... st_forgery

If you go to a list page or a movie page and search for "token" in the source code you'll see this:
<a href="#" id="m83749-u34718-check" class="checkbox" data-validation-token="7c533752d8e86c45162761a5feb9570f039d8942bfd203708bb3970f872f85fa" title="Check It Happened in Europe" rel="nofollow"><span>Check</span></a>
That right there: data-validation-token is probably the CSRF token.

@themagician: So that's how it works, huh. And I see a similar token on IMDb's star rating widget, with a new value after each page refresh. Thanks!
