Enjoyed this top comment on The Nutty Professor (1963):

Dan Bull
This is a film about how a very annoying, unfunny man miraculously transforms into a very annoying, unfunny man.

joachimt wrote: April 14th, 2021, 5:45 pm At first when I joined iCM and noticed his comments, I thought he was talking about Schneider's 1001MYMSBYD, because to me back then that was THE book. After that I learned there were more books about movies.
It started out exactly like that, he left a comment on every movie in the 1001 book. Then he proceeded to watch other movies and would leave comments about whether or not they'd be in his "personal" version of 1001BYD. That's all it is.

Yup, that's how I perceived his 'career' as well. And why I couldn't care less about his comments.
I'd be actually fine if he just "reviewed" the films with his 1-3 adjectives, but the way he's doing it, it's first and foremost blog spam. Thanks, but no thanks.

These two comments from yamyam on La Roue (1923):

i like when people have so much power of cohesion that they make a 4,5 hour movie. I'm gonna watch it now, i wish that i regret for posting this.

You just have to wonder about some accounts.

First: Interesting choice for a username, um. Checks only two films after registration, favs 3, no friends, no lists. Provides video links for several films on ICM though, many of them super obscure.

Wow
fyi, it was added to the National Film Registry in 2016 and released by Criterion in 2020. Virtually every other list was added to ICM during the last decade.
(IMDb Docs is another case; we're running more or less our own version now, who knows if it would be in it "naturally"? Hm)
