If not, I think it's available on DVD. The website of the town that was featured in the movie probably has more information on that film and other films by that director: http://chambon.org/
I'm going to update this info soon. I accidentally posted the wrong link.

We can't rate it, since the status is still post-production.
Oh...I changed the release date, but I will also change the status. Thanks for the head's up.
Thanks. Now it's open for rating
I've been M.I.A., because I've decided to participate in the 48 Hour Film Challenge in Los Angeles this year! I created a team of about 15 people and here we are at the location yesterday.

Finally uploaded the short film I directed for the 48 Hour Film Challenge called "Love at First Flight". Had a great team of about 15 people.
Feel free to watch and I hope you enjoy.

Nice job, allie! Didn't spot you though - where do you appear exactly? Also, nice touch about that plane disclaimer at the end, hehe.
Btw, is there any relation to Love at First Flight (1928)?

Thanks. Well, we cut the part with me in it. I realize that the credits still credit me. But I didn't edit it, so... Also, it was my roommate/friend's idea to put the bit about the planet at the end.

Looking forward to your Boarding School - when will it be released?
Not sure. I wanted to put some extra touches on it, but now I'm waiting on my 4TB to be restored. Otherwise I'll have a rough cut (37 mins.)or a shortened cut (27 mins) that I'm not 100% happy with yet. Part of the problem is that it's a short with SAG actors so there are not too many avenues for it. A little on the long side to submit to festivals. Maybe it'll see the light of day eventually.monty on Sep 20 2015, 03:54:27 PM wrote:Looking forward to your Boarding School - when will it be released?
Here's a new short I did called Life and Death:

You are the first group of people I'm sharing with, because of your past support. I think the budget was about $10+food this time, so I didn't need to do a Kickstarter. The actress asked me to write something for her.
Also, feel free to rate on IMDB:

Thanks!!

Not too keen on the music, allie, which I found a bit too intrusive and audience manipulative - how about toning it down a bit next time around? Anyhow, this is quite ok considering it's a shoestring production - also, seems like you guys had fun making it. Looking forward to seeing what you come up with next.
Thanks for the feedback, Monty.monty on Mar 12 2016, 07:50:48 PM wrote:Not too keen on the music, allie, which I found a bit too intrusive and audience manipulative - how about toning it down a bit next time around? Yeah I agree about the music and the sound was also very quiet (especially from the dude, I had to turn my volume up all the way to hear him).
Someone created a festival called Shortlands where they announced the theme/props/line of dialogue you're supposed to use on a Wednesday and then you turn it in on a Friday and they show the films on a Saturday. There are different stages throughout the year and you get more time incrementally as the year passes.
Anyway, I participated in Round One and created a short called SINGLE, NO KIDS:

Hey, I have to ask something. Is there any chance of us getting to see any footage of Films Directed by Women in the Silent Era featuring actresses? I had hoped, as one of the contributors to it, that we'd get to see some footage at some point.
Good luck with the other projects.

Too bad you never considered Art for the lead role - he'd have been the perfect fit for it !allisoncm on Jul 2 2016, 12:33:38 PM wrote:Some projects I was involved in recently:

Oh, you mean the outtakes that were never included in the film? I do have two segments. I think you might have been more interested in the Lillian Gish one more than the Mabel Normand one. I had two problems: one I wasn't happy with the performance I got for the Lillian Gish segment. She wasn't a full-time actress and was nervous (this was also the second time I directed something and didn't have much luck). Also, it was RED footage and my computer kept crashing when I was editing the footage. I could try to put together the RED files and compress them and send you the raw cuts. Give me a couple of weeks, please. I am working on a couple projects right now but will take a look at the old footage.AdamH on Jul 12 2016, 12:31:42 PM wrote:Hey, I have to ask something.
