Damn Magnetic Fields for having a million songs that I can relate to and can't stop listening to right now.
Nice to see someone else with a huge disparity between top artists and everything else. I always get jealous of those who seem able to listen to equal doses of practically everything. Makes for a nicer graph.
Yeah, mostly coz I don't have many favourite artists, so the ones I really love are pretty obvious :P I've listened to all albums for most of the bands shown in the screenshot, so can't really see any others taking over the top places any time soon.

Halfaxa and Visions are just very different albums. I prefer Visions for the sheer merit of Oblivion, Circumambiant and Be A Body.

Halfaxa hasn't really got a stand out track for me. Maybe it will after a few more listens.

Still have a bunch of Sublime Frequencies plays as my 2nd most played artist even though like half of that stuff is pretty mediocre. :/

Yeah, uh, there was a time when Run Like Hell was all I'd listen to for a while. I'd play it at school on my iPod, at parties, and while I slept... :ermm:

I've kept my last.fm account since I was 16 so there's a lot of plays of terrible music I'd listen to in high school, so my overall tracks and artists are a little embarrassing like James Blunt

There's a lot of mixed reactions from Bush, I've noticed. You either love them or hate them. Their most popular song Glycerine is good but a little overrated, but Bush are worth a gander into their early 90's work!

I can relate a bit. The Offspring are still #2 on my overall list. Getting drunk and nostalgic doesn't help either. I'm still all about evolution and against people resetting their accounts.

I didn't know LastFM existed until I was 18, but my teenage years would've been filled with The Beatles, and other 60s-80s music (as it is now) :P Actually I listen to more modern music now than I did back then.

I hadn't noticed, but on a first glance I don't like the song-artist order. And more data, less pictures, please.

It's not as bad as I thought it would be, but I hate the artists/albums section - it looks too crowded with pics and I prefer information. I can't remember my LastFM password so can't log in, but does it still show top tracks as well?

Yes, the top tracks are under top albums and so is the shoutbox. For some reason friends are now following/followers. What I'm not that happy with is how it handles albums in the user's library, but you get stats.

Well it seems the new layout focuses on individual songs rather than albums. So it should be right up your alley.

Why do you "not give a shit about albums" anyway? :ermm:
Apparently I didn't take a good look at the new layout. I was a little angry about websites getting a more modern (ugly) design, while I prefer minimalism and lots of stats. I do care about albums, but not much.

I'm a little annoyed mildly angry that last.fm removed the artists without scrobbles from my library. It was a very useful feature to me, sometimes just browsing similar artist sections or libraries of other users and adding music that I wanted to give a listen later. It's all gone now! About 50 to 100 artists I had saved in there for future reference are all gone, thanks a bunch!

And the 'similar artists' section has been reduced to a single page. There used to be 15 to 20 pages! Do they not want us to explore new music anymore?

What the hell have they done? :yucky:

wtf, this new design is horrible, even the extras (widgets etc.) don't work that worked on the earlier site... that's what happens when corporates take over, CBS seems to be much worse than Amazon who owns IMDb. They could have had at least an option to keep the old design for some time, but no...
Hi! We're going live with our new site. Due to this, some functionality may be temporarily unavailable.
Nice work! :verymad:

The new design is definitely worse than the other one but that doesn't bother me nearly as much as all the deleted and limited features do. :'(

Yup, this sucks ass. Hopefully we will be able to customize the artists section on the profile page soon. I want a list, not just a few pics.

WTF, I just noticed this: in 'Recent Tracks' the artist is now mentioned before the title. :( On the bright side, when you click on 'Recent Tracks', you see a nice graph.

RIP LastFM. Unless they do a 180 I'm done with the site. It's just unusable.

Wow, someone else's music has somehow reached my profile. It says I listened to Wiz Khalifa and The Weeknd and a few others last night. :X

I can't delete the scrobbles.

Anyone else have music appearing on your profile that you didn't listen to?

My profile page says I listened to Taylor Swift the day before yesterday. Allegedly it is even a loved track of mine. God damn it Last.fm, get your shit together!

Oh wait, I did listen to that Taylor Swift song and I do love it. My taste in music...

This isn't as disastrous as when mubi changed its website layout. They removed the ability to send pms, browse user-made lists, look into director pages, looking into other user's ratings, favourite films, or their to watch list and I think it was the same case with your own profile. Fortunately they did fix quite a bit of it except on a movie's page where it shows user made lists that include the movie, they only show 2 of them and there's no way to look at more of them.

I stopped using last.fm ages ago.

My father didn’t have the skill of a professional cameraman. The result? Avant-garde cinema.

I pretty much just scrobble my last.fm tracks from my phone & computer, so I haven't viewed the changes yet. I am afraid to.

But yeah, MUBI changed from a site where you can socialize w/others about movies to a site where they want to give you the chance to stream films 1 per day, 30 films viewable at a time. That's not what I signed up for. Now I can't even have much information on my profile and there is no point to "add" or "follow" other users, because there is no emphasis on communication. I am just friends with the people I previously met years ago. It was kind of a stupid change. They should have just kept "Theauteurs" the same and created mubi for streaming films so they could make $$$. Anyway, whatever.....I don't know.
