that's it for today. Lots of long & epic songs, that could/should have been higher perhaps.

Also i added The Cure - Plainsong on 56 (was initially a Grimes duplicate)

Country: United States
Descriptors: psychedelic, soothing, mellow, nature, peaceful, female vocals, melancholic, mysterious, pastoral, ethereal, acoustic, introspective, meditative, bittersweet, soft, hypnotic, atmospheric, longing, calm, love, surreal

So ahead of her time, mega psychedelic and hypnotic, eerie and intruiging. It's a song i associate with having a nightmare.

I discovered this a few years ago, some of YouTube weird recommendations, despite not having listened ever to folk or 70's music at the time, and re-discovered it. I'll check her album out.

Ah oops, but the whole album is recommendable and so is 100% Electronica and his latest album. He's a great artist. Yes, perhaps i've been widening my taste and exploring a bit, so know I have the weird sense that my list is more varied towards the end (and that it includes some great songs), but just whenever I like a song i'll add it here.

In the future, i want to do an album top 100 :) (and update it every two years).

Actually, this should be much higher, but I was unsure what my fav song of this album was, which is why i haven't included it before in my toplist. But the ranking isn't really accurate anymore, so whatever. The point is, this should always be included.

Descriptors: noisy, ethereal, romantic, atmospheric, love, hypnotic, dense, psychedelic, Wall of Sound, lush, female vocals, male vocals, bittersweet, warm, sensual, longing, sexual, sentimental, melancholic, androgynous vocals

The other two i absolutely adore from this album (i actually love them all, but say i love four more than the others), i might add, if i extend this to include more songs. Regardless of it, one or two songs in a top 100 is not enough to stress enough how much i love this band.

Part of the reason is also because they've not been on spotify or on the YouTube app on my phone, so i didn't listen to them in 2019 and 2020 that much unfortunately, but since early april this has been changing again.

EPIC song and more importantly an epic album, probably one of the best i've ever heard. Every song deserves to be placed here. Dsco is probably a bit more accessible, and so is Sept, but this has just that great feeling and is the peak of the album imo.

Well i'll continue. Surprised i haven't included Bjork yet, so i'll do now. Vespertine is a great album, but i don't have that "single song" that is immediately masterclass top tier, but the whole album is however of that tier at a whole, especially since it's already 20 years old.

I might expand this to a top 250 because I feel like so much songs should be in it that aren't currently, and than I might add more diversity, as well as add more favs from my fav artists (like Cocteau Twins and a few from Grimes), which would be great. But I deliberately did held a bit back on them as i felt like I was forgetting / ignoring too much other stuff i also like. 100 songs you absolutely adore is simply not enough (lol). We will see.

Could also add some favs as a child if i expand to a top 250 which would be fun too (although i even doubt there will be enough place for it...)
