I definitely recommend this if you like Jeff Mills' Live at the Liquid Room DJ Mix. I mean hell some of the same tracks are used

Is it bad that I prefer Maurizio and Rhythm & Sound over Basic Channel?

Thanks for the set I'll give a listen.

I lovee most stuff Moritz von Oswals does and dub techno as a style, Basic Channel just get ripped off too much I think.
I remember my last girlfriend, coming home and putting the M series on. I think M4 is probably my favourite.

Think this is one of the best club tracks! The Basic Channel version's a lot more chilled.

and a Paul St Hiliare track I like.

Does IDM count for this thread? Finally listening to this blind spot and it rules

I think you need a more generic electronic thread :p

Speedy J and FSOL (l) Lifeforms and G SPot are two great albums. Might as well expand the thread title anyway as techno can be a bit niche. :D

Surgeon Boiler room in Porto, Portugal. I've seen Surgeon so many times, more than any other DJ as I grew up in his hometown where he had a residency. He doesn't play as dark as usual in this one, you can tell he's trying to play to the crowd, and actually sounds slightly off key sometimes (adds to the unplanned feel of it) and nice to hear a slightly different selection.
Surgeon

Also this series is essential for techno fans. Although only like the first 6-7 are worth watching

Decent gabber. Some of the vocal samples are terrible though. I mean Slipknot and Linkin Park... come on.

Not a big fan of commercial hardcore anymore, but I do like the uptempo stuff Mad Dog (& crew) come up with nowadays. As for oldskool gabber, loved that stuff in the past but most of the tracks haven't aged that well.

Love it when Surgeon plays Whitehouse in his sets, or some of the British Murder Boys stuff, I think Regis gets on the mic occasionally.

As I saw you was a Godflesh fan, this isn't bad for hard beats...

Not techno but really my kind of thing when it comes to old school tunes.

The dark unbottom’d infinite Abyss,
