Armo's 555 favourite tracks

#1

Post by Armoreska » January 13th, 2016, 2:53 pm

(No picture goes here. Too busy :P )

Might as well start on my birthday (not that I really care about it)

ACHTUNG! multiple instances of EPICNESS and silliness inside (the former towards the top, while the latter towards the bottom)

random stat. 10 favorite music names with no tracks making the list*:
Chemical Brothers, Era, Boney M, John Williams, Kelly Bailey, De-Phazz, Gregorian, Rammstein, Junkie XL, Sade. Yes, incredibly accomplished list
*some bands (e.g. Genesis) didn't but their solo artists did
also, no David Bowie for the sad occasion :( I don't think anything stands out, so I don't even know what my favorite song of his is. I know Low made my fav albums though.

these are the tracks that I already selected to be on the list, but were just a bit unlucky in the end to make into that specific number
so just dump them on you without embed
sure hope these links work in other parts of the world (my browser is in Norway, I think)

Nice to see someone remembers Space, I guess this was more popular in USSR than elsewhere.

If I may disrupt your countdown with a similar stuff from early 80s - Latvian band Zodiaks (I'm sure you've heard of them if you know Space since Zodiac was a response to Space), they were huge in USSR, in fact I believe their LP holds the record of copies sold in USSR (about 20 million).

I have a feeling I've heard this before, but both artist and title don't ring a bell. Really glad I (re)discovered it. Oh, and a big  for "Dare Me".

#525 and 524 are apparently classified as Alt Metal. I didn't know that. The only ones on the list, I'm sure.

#525 sounds like metal in the instrumental parts. Once the singing start, I would call it "pop-metal". I never called Alice in Chains "metal".
