This makes me so sad. :'(
Well I do pay for Spotify premium now lol, so I guess I am spending money on music. But that was the last time I bought a specific piece of music (House of 1000 Corpses soundtrack). I think I only bought about 20 cds and a handful of tapes as a kid though. I never liked music until I discovered the 60s as a teen.
Well, paying for Spotify is the least thing you can do. Not that artists make a lot of money out of it. Best way to survive as a band nowadays is to be on the road whole year through.
You do go to concerts now and then right? I guess you pay for the tickets?
I've been to three concerts and they were all in 2013 when I was living in the UK tehe . Most of my favourite artists are dead or not performing anymore, otherwise I would happily attend more. Seeing The Magnetic Fields live is something I need to do before I die, but good luck trying to get someone cool to come to Perth

I just checked ONE band, Leprous, one of my favorites. They played in Perth in January 2018. Too bad you missed them. :P

I'm devastated

Anyway, I'm finally on disc 4 of The Pet Sounds Sessions. It's a credit to how good Wouldn't it Be Nice and Sloop John B are that I happily sing and bounce along every time they've played for the last few hours, but it is starting to make me feel insane hearing them over and over.

I like Sloop John B but man does it feel out of place on that album.

So, I got bored last night and decided to update the spreadsheet. At one point I made changes to funky's sheet and turned the dates into years so I just left them all as release years:

Also forgot to remove my 'checks', sorry.

Bit annoyed to find I've gone from 798 to 663  Still planning to finish off the 2015 list before focusing on the new entries though.

The RYM charts are weird. I was going through the charts for each year on RYM and different albums show up on the all-time list compared to the one I made :/ I used the chart made with archival and live albums and went down the overall list to make the spreadsheet but it doesn't always match up to the other charts. Sometimes the 'top' albums don't actually have the rank on their page. Idk how they work these things out or which one I'm supposed to trust :(
