A good tip would be to use the extensive list of films that are whole sentences - thread.

1. What Shall We Do with Our Old? Annie Get Your Gun, Don't Bother to Knock, Make Way for Tomorrow.

2. The Emperor's Naked Army Marches On. The Sun Shines Bright. Is Paris Burning?

3. I Was A Communist for the FBI. They Made Me a Fugitive. There Will Be Blood. What Have I Done to Deserve This? It's a Wonderful Life.

A classic, but I don't know if it has been played on this site.

And then there were none.

All Nudity Shall Be Punished
Take Shelter...
Where's Poppa?
Gimme Shelter...
HELP!
I Want to Live!
Stay Cool

Debbie does Dallas...the girl can't help it. She doesn't want to sleep alone. She's gotta have it. What's love got to do with it?

If you don't want to be restricted to whole sentences, it's easy to find phrases googling IMDb (assuming TV episodes count):

Don't look now - we're being shot at
Zulu dawn.
Bury me twice:
Once not far from home;
Once more, with feeling!
The most important thing of all:
Bury my heart at Wounded Knee.

A Pigeon Sat on a Branch Reflecting on Existence.
Why Are We Here?
Why must I die?
Why Do Fools Fall in Love?
Why Has Bodhi-Dharma Left for the East?
Why be good?
Why worry?
Why Am I Doing This?
Why ask why?
Why Am I Still Single?

For the Japanese challenge

Haiku/tanka aren't my thing, and 7-syllable English titles of Japanese movies were rather thin on the ground, but:

haiku (5-7-5 syllables)

noisy requiem
for 47 ronin
heroic purgatory

grave of the fireflies
twilight of the cockroaches
Year One in the North

crest of betrayal
my wonderful yellow car
spirited away

The boy and the beast
rebels of the river's edge
rise against the sword

tanka (5-7-5-7-7)

big joys, small sorrows
in the realm of the senses
beyond love and hate
memories of tomorrow
always sunset on Third Street

half a confession
bitter end of a sweet night
empire of passion
the inferno of first love
being two isn't easy

It's difficult to make something that actually makes sense. I like the topic, though. Here's my attempt.

Throne of Blood
Late Spring
A Face in the Crowd
Killing
King of Kings
The truth is you're Donny, and I'm Walter. But I'm tryin', Ringo, I'm tryin' real hard to be The Dude.

Could this thread be moved to games section? Please?

Tailgaters: Take a movie title and add a rhyming line to turn it into a couplet.

One of our dinosaurs is missing.
It wandered off while we were kissing.

What ever happened to Baby Jane?
She just dumped her lovely rice pudding again.

The killing of a Chinese bookie
is no assignment for a rookie.

Or one could do headgaters:

My first assignment as a rookie:
The killing of a Chinese bookie.

PLEASE put this in the games section!
